Agoric is an open-source software development company bringing better security and composability to the decentralized financial infrastructure of today. Agoric is built on a JavaScript library of reusable, composable components coded by experienced community members. Our secure JavaScript smart contract platform allows developers to rapidly build secure applications on top of an ever-growing collection of reusable governance, lending, and trading components.

About the Role

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging with potential partners, developing strategic relationships, and supporting sales efforts. You’ll work closely with internal teams to create compelling proposals, represent Agoric at industry events, and help refine our go-to-market strategies. Your work will directly contribute to the expansion of Agoric’s developer and partner network, fostering a vibrant and sustainable blockchain ecosystem.

Responsibilities

  • Market Research & Analysis: Identify and evaluate potential markets, trends, and partnership opportunities within the crypto and the fintech spaces.
  • Outreach & Relationship Building: Engage with prospective partners and stakeholders partnerships.
  • Sales Support: Assist in preparing pitch decks, proposals, and sales materials tailored to potential partners’ needs.
  • Event Participation: Represent Agoric at cryptoevents, meetups, and conferences to network and promote our offerings.
  • Cross functional: Collaborate with product, devrel and marketing for client engagement and technical demonstrations
  • Data Tracking: Maintain and update CRM (Hubspot) tools to track leads, interactions, and deal progress effectively.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years experience in crypto project in business development or growth roles
  • Experience with sales and lead generation strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to engage stakeholders at multiple levels within an organization
  • You are a quick learner and comfortable with ambiguity
  • You have a track record of successfully selling complex solutions
  • Understanding and experience interacting with defi protocols is a plus
  • Experience with hubspot is a plus
