No matter who you are, Pax8 is a place you can call home. We know there’s no such thing as a _“perfect”_ candidate, so we don’t look for the right “ fit” – instead, we look for the add. We encourage you to apply for a role at Pax8 even if you don’t meet 100% of the bullet points. We believe in cultivating an environment with a diversity of perspectives, in hopes that we can all thrive in an inclusive environment.

Position Summary:

The Revenue Operations Business Intelligence Analyst is a deep Power BI dashboard developer and insight-driven storyteller who transforms curated revenue data into interactive visuals that accelerate decision making for the entire Pax8 Revenue ecosystem in the Americas. You will work hands on with Revenue Operations Business Partners, Revenue Operations Data Analysts, and the broader Pax8 Business Intelligence & Analyst Community, while interfacing with Data Engineers and other cross-functional teams. Partnering closely with revenue and GTM leadership, you will ask the right questions, surface hidden opportunities, and translate complex metrics into narratives that fuel revenue growth. In addition to Power BI, you’ll explore emerging insight platforms, including Salesforce CRM Analytics (CRMA), Microsoft Fabric, and other BI- and insights-accelerating tools to future proof our BI stack and scale data literacy across Pax8. With a SQL/Python‑heavy Senior RevOps Performance Data Analyst already handling root‑cause deep dives, this role operationalizes those insights at scale, owning the production‑quality dashboards and BI governance leadership relies on daily.

Essential Responsibilities and Percentage of Time Spent (includes, but is not limited to):

(Role blends engineering rigor with insight delivery; percentages reflect that hybrid nature)

Insight Led BI Development (50%)

  • Architect, publish, and iterate enterprise grade analytics in Power BI, with the potential to develop in experimental environments like CRMA, Tableau, Hex, etc.
  • Craft intuitive drill downs and storyboards that reveal the why behind performance, not just the what.

Cross Functional Partnership & Data Storytelling (25%)

  • Embed with RevOps Business Partners, RevOps Data Analysts, Pax8’s BI & Analyst Community, Data Engineers, Revenue Technology teams, and GTM/Sales leaders to capture strategic questions, translate them into BI roadmaps, and present findings that drive execution.
  • Champion “data as a second language” across ICs, managers, executives, and technical colleagues.
  • Identify development needs in order to improve and streamline operations

Data Governance & Enablement (20%)

  • Build star schema semantic models, establish dataflows, enforce row-level security (RLS).
  • Ensure data integrity and governance by validating, cleaning, and managing data accuracy to enhance trust in decision-making.
  • Deliver hands on training that fosters self-service analytics and trust in a single source of truth.
  • Create and maintain documentation including requirements, design and user manuals

Tool Innovation & Performance Optimization (5%)

  • Pilot new BI capabilities and implement AI-powered solutions.
  • Instrument usage telemetry, tune refresh schedules, and automate performance checks to keep insights fast and reliable.

Ideal Skills, Experience, and Competencies:

  • At least 3+ years delivering Power BI solutions in a SaaS or high growth B2B environment.
  • Strong proficiency in data manipulation and visualization using Power BI, as well as complementary tools like Tableau or Alteryx.
  • Expertise in DAX, Power Query/M, composite modeling, and performance tuning for datasets >50 MM rows.
  • Strong SQL skills and familiarity with cloud warehouses (e.g., Redshift, Snowflake, BigQuery).
  • Demonstrated ability to transform raw data into compelling stories that influence revenue strategy – comfortable presenting to ICs and C suite alike.
  • Ability to take requirements from department leaders and create analysis, dashboards, and/or reports that allow the team to see patterns, results or information in an easy-to-understand format.
  • Solid understanding of SaaS revenue metrics (e.g., ARR, NRR, pipeline velocity); Understanding of sales methodologies (MEDDICC, Command of the Message) a plus.
  • Flair for UX – layout, color, and interaction design principles that drive adoption and engagement.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, balancing multiple priorities.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Experience with Python a plus.
  • Prior experience in sales analytics, sales strategy, or revenue operations, preferably in B2B, B2B2C, Tech, or IT industries.
  • Understanding of scaling analytics functions, from BI Developer to Data Engineer.
  • Knowledge of AI-powered analytics tools (e.g., ChatGPT or Copilot, predictive AI, AI-assisted data cleansing).
  • Practical certification(s) in SQL, Python, or similar.

🚀 Within Your First Year, You’ll Know You’re Crushing It If:

  • Within 90 Days: You’ve audited all relevant dashboard and underlying dataset, documented performance bottlenecks, and shipped a few quick‑hit Power BI optimizations that give sales leaders a cleaner view of business health.
  • Within 120 Days: You’ve rolled out a core BI governance framework – star‑schema models, RLS, dataflows, and naming conventions – and socialized it with RevOps Business Partners and the Sales Organization so reports across the Americas use a single source of truth.
  • Within 6 Months: You’ve launched several self‑service Revenue Dashboards in Power BI (and possibly other supporting tools like CRMA) with drill‑downs to segment, territory, and rep level, and usage telemetry shows 50%+ adoption by GTM leaders each week/month by partnering with your RevOps team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Within 12 Months: You’re the go‑to architect of Pax8’s visual analytics layer – mentoring others on DAX patterns, embedding predictive visuals (e.g., forecast accuracy, churn risk), and driving a 25% improvement in dashboard adoption and decision‑cycle speed across multiple GTM teams.

Required Behaviors:

  • Compassionate Candour– We aim to assist others with candid, actionable feedback.
  • Seek to Understand – Be open, curious and committed to learning
  • We before me – Actively collaborate & seek out diverse perspectives to ensure a win for Team Pax8
  • Do What you Say – Take ownership and honour your commitments. Prioritise and deliver
  • Light up learning – Be brave and try new ideas; be vulnerable and share your failures so everyone can learn from our mistakes
  • Driven by passion – Connects personal passion to Pax8 mission. Resilient in face of adversity and uncertainty in pursuit of mission.

Required Education & Certifications:

  • B.A./B.S. in a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL 300) or similar certification preferred.

Compensation:

  • Qualified candidates will receive starting base salary between $66,266.00 and $82,833.00
