Our mission is to bring intelligence to the world of content management and empower our customers to completely transform workflows across their organizations. With the combination of AI and enterprise content, the opportunity has never been greater to transform how the world works together and at Box you will be on the front lines of this massive shift.

Founded in 2005, Box is headquartered in Redwood City, CA, and we have offices across the United States, Europe, and Asia.

WHY BOX NEEDS YOU:

Box seeks a talented Business Systems Engineer III to join our Enterprise Systems Tech Delivery team, driving the scalability and efficiency of our Order to Cash workflows. You will administer, develop, and optimize Zuora, Avalara, and Adyen systems to support subscription management, invoicing, tax compliance, and payment processing.

Your expertise will be instrumental in delivering innovative solutions and supporting critical business processes that directly influence Box’s growth, compliance, and customer experience. This role offers exposure to cutting-edge financial technologies, cross-functional collaboration, and the opportunity to make a lasting impact on Box’s scalability and success.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Configure and administer Zuora, Adyen, and Avalara, integrating these systems with ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite) and financial tools (e.g., Planful, Concur) via SnapLogic and APIs.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues across subscription billing, tax calculations, invoicing, and payment workflows in collaboration with vendors.

  • Automate and enhance financial workflows to improve efficiency in billing, tax compliance, and payment operations.

  • Ensure scalability, data integrity, and alignment with business objectives for order management systems.

  • Configure Avalara to meet multi-jurisdictional tax compliance and deliver audit-ready financial reports.

  • Implement automated reconciliation processes to ensure data integrity and accurate financial reporting.

  • Manage system incidents and provide timely resolution to ensure business continuity.

  • Support SOX activities, including ensuring compliance with IT General Controls (ITGCs) and audit requirements.

  • Oversee release management activities, including planning, testing, and deploying system upgrades with minimal disruption.

  • Lead QA and regression testing for system upgrades and deployments, minimizing disruptions to financial workflows.

  • Create and execute test scripts, validating system performance and reliability.

  • Partner with Finance, Accounting, IT, and SOX teams to deliver aligned solutions and process improvements.

  • Train stakeholders and promote best practices across enterprise systems.

Who You Are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Zuora, Avalara, and Adyen, including configuration, customization, and integrations for Order to Cash workflows.

  • Proficiency in SaaS-based financial systems and cloud-native features.

  • Hands-on experience with SnapLogic or Mulesoft for scalable integration workflows.

  • Strong SQL skills for querying financial data and resolving discrepancies.

  • Familiarity with ITGCs (e.g., access controls, change management, SOX compliance).

  • Knowledge of data encryption techniques and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions).

  • Experience with automated testing tools (e.g., Jira Xray) and financial reporting standards (e.g., ASC 606, IFRS 15).

  • Expertise in global tax compliance, including VAT/GST and localization for APAC, EMEA, and North America.

  • Preferred Skills:

    • Experience integrating financial systems with ERP platforms (e.g., NetSuite) and planning tools (e.g., Planful).

    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence).

    • Certifications in Zuora, Avalara, or Adyen platforms.
