About the team
The Corporate Transactions Team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly organized, and resourceful corporate generalist to join our team. We provide critical support for corporate strategic transactions, such as M&A, venture investments, debt financings, and real estate.Β Our team also supports a variety of strategic initiatives including investor relation matters, employee equity programs, and climate / carbon removal commercial transactions. The ideal candidate is one who enjoys wearing different hats, can work well with various cross functional teams and stakeholders and adapts quickly to changing environments and priorities.
What youβll do
In this role, youβll serve as corporate counsel, partnering with cross functional teams and key stakeholders such as Corporate Development, Investor Relations, Equity, Treasury-Finance and Workplace to support a broad range of strategic transactions, corporate governance and other corporate matters.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate, structure, negotiate, draft and provide advice on venture investments, mergers and acquisitions and other corporate development transactions.
- Assist and partner with cross-functional legal teams on transaction diligence and integration.
- Partner to lead cross-functional teams and manage outside counsel to complete transactions.
- Provide legal support and advice on employee equity matters, investor matters and real estate transactions.
- Assist with other corporate matters, including corporate governance, company liquidity management and other strategic matters.

Minimum requirements
- A juris doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- 5+ years of corporate legal experience, including deal work on M&A and investments.
- Significant experience independently running, negotiating and drafting complex strategic transactions.
- Strong communication (both written and verbal) skills and excellent legal and business judgment.
- Experience working with senior management and ability to work well with various teams in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Comfortable with a daily high volume of tasks and projects, and can quickly shift priorities as needed.
- Humble, responsive, proactive, resourceful, highly organized, with great attention to detail and a strong ability to execute and flexibility to handle a variety of projects / tasks, both low and high.
Preferred qualifications
- In-house experience and experience with financial technology or payments industry.
- Experience with equity compensation programs.
