About the role:
Seeking skilled and experienced manufacturing should cost modelers for an aerospace opportunity.
Duties:
- Build new should-cost models to estimate the cost of parts or assemblies
- Analyze supplier quotes and break them down into categories like raw material, machining, labor, etc.
- Compare supplier costs with internal estimates and industry benchmarks.
- Understand manufacturing processes such as casting, forging, injection molding, etc. to assess cost accurately.
- Work with cross functional teams like Engineering, Buyers, and production to compile all necessary information for cost models.
Requirements:
- Strong background in engineering (mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing)
- Proficient in tools like Excel, CAD, and preferably estimation software like aPriori, SEER, or TruePlanning
- Ability to read ASME drawings
- Knowledge of supply chain, materials, and manufacturing methods
Location: Hybrid, Fort Worth, TX, (fully remote possible but not preferred)
Full compensation package is based on candidate experience and certifications
Pay Ranges
$50—$60 USD
