Your role at Hostinger
Cyber Security Engineer in the Cyber Security team.
As part of Hostinger’s Cyber Security team, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the safety of our products and processes by identifying emerging cyber threats and finding the most effective and creative ways to solve complex security issues. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and product teams to proactively detect vulnerabilities before they can cause harm—helping to ensure Hostinger remains a trusted, world-class web hosting provider.

Your day-to-day
- Manage and optimize SIEM, EDR, and CDR tools to strengthen detection and visibility.
- Write and tune custom detection rules, alerts, and correlation logic based on attacker TTPs and Hostinger’s infrastructure.
- Design and automate incident response workflows using SOAR tools, reducing manual effort and response time.
- Build and maintain secure configurations using Terraform and Ansible across cloud and bare-metal systems.
- Configure and tune WAF, vulnerability scanners, dependency tracker, and other security tooling.
- Apply CIS Benchmarks, enforce hardening standards, and contribute to internal security guidelines and documentation.
- Monitor and secure GCP infrastructure, improving IAM, audit logging, and cloud service configuration.
- Manage PAM solutions and access control processes across production environments
- Collaborate with Development and Engineering teams to identify risks and deliver secure-by-design improvements.
- Proactively hunt for misconfigurations, optimize tooling, and automate repetitive tasks.
- Stay updated on emerging threats and propose improvements to detection, response, and tooling.
Your skills and experience
- Solid experience with Linux system security and hardening practices.
- 2+ years of experience in security engineering, focused on infrastructure hardening, detection logic, or incident response.
- Strong understanding of SIEM/EDR/IR workflows and practical experience tuning or creating detections.
- Experience with Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure or security configuration.
- Familiarity with cloud environments (GCP preferred) and cloud-native security tooling.
- Hands-on experience with incident response, alert triage, and log forensics.
- Knowledge of WAF, PAM tools, vulnerability scanners, and secure access control practices.
- Ability to work independently on security projects, automation, or tool integration.
- Strong communication and documentation skills; able to work well with both technical and non-technical teams.
- Good scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar — you automate what can be automated.
- Advanced English (spoken & written).
Nice to have
- Familiarity with SOAR platforms and experience writing automated playbooks.
- Experience working with Sigma rules, YARA, or other detection frameworks.
- Understanding of MITRE ATT&CK, attacker behavior, and threat modeling.
- Container security or experience securing Kubernetes/GKE environments.
- Any of the Cybersecurity related certifications.

Compensation
- Gross salary starting from 3300 EUR/month.
