Manager

Job description

Everything happens somewhere - which is why spatial analytics is fundamental to companies trying to understand the “where” and the “why” of their business. CARTO is the leading cloud-native location intelligence platform, trusted by data scientists, data analysts and developers from companies such as Vodafone, IKEA, Decathlon, Coca-Cola and Mastercard to provide geospatial insights for use cases such as site selection, geomarketing, route optimization, network planning and much more.

With an exceptionally diverse team of 150 people spread across the US and Europe, CARTO (backed by Insight Partners, Accel Partners, Salesforce Ventures, and Earlybird Ventures, among others) is changing the way companies analyze location data - making it simple to do this straight out of modern, cloud data warehouses. Redefining its category, the company has grown rapidly in recent years providing a compelling alternative to legacy GIS software.

We are looking for a content-savvy, creative, and commercially-minded Demand Generation Manager who wants to relish the opportunity to learn from a talented team of product gurus and marketing professionals.

This position will be based in Spain, preferably in the Madrid area. It’s also possible to work from our offices in Madrid or Seville, but any location in Spain would work!

Responsibilities

  • Campaign Strategy & Execution: You will own end-to-end demand generation campaigns across multiple channels including email, social media, webinars, and account-based marketing initiatives with partners. This role requires hands-on content creation. You’ll take personal ownership of repurposing pillar content into diverse formats, creating multiple touchpoints from single pieces to extract maximum campaign value. You’ll collaborate closely with content & product marketing, partner marketing, and sales teams to ensure campaign messaging resonates with our target accounts and drives qualified opportunities.
  • Customer Journey Optimization: You will develop and execute sophisticated customer lifecycle marketing programs that nurture prospects from awareness through consideration and purchase. You’ll create personalized customer experiences across different segments and buying stages, leveraging customer insights to optimize touchpoints throughout the journey. You’ll also build targeted expansion campaigns to drive growth and usage within our existing customer base.
  • SDR Collaboration & Cadence Optimization: Working closely with the SDR team, you’ll create and continuously optimize cadences for event follow-ups, content engagement sequences, and other touchpoint opportunities to maximize conversion rates.
  • Customer Marketing & Advocacy: You will create programs that showcase customer success stories and work closely with our customer success team to identify advocacy opportunities. You’ll also coordinate customer speaking opportunities at industry events and our Spatial Data Science Conference.

You are

  • Analytical: You base decisions on data while understanding the broader market context
  • Results-oriented: You’re laser-focused on pipeline and revenue metrics, not just marketing activities
  • An excellent project manager: You can orchestrate complex, multi-channel campaigns while meeting deadlines
  • A strong communicator and compelling writer: You can craft persuasive copy across multiple formats and effectively collaborate with stakeholders across sales, marketing, and product teams
  • Customer-centric content creator: You’re able to build and implement campaigns that resonate with our ICP, creating tailored messaging and content that addresses their specific pain points at every touchpoint
  • Innovative: You consistently test new approaches, channels, and content formats to improve campaign performance
  • A natural team-player: You can influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment around demand generation initiatives

You offer

  • 5+ years of B2B demand generation experience, preferably in SaaS or enterprise software
  • Experience with marketing automation platforms (Hubspot, Marketo, or similar) and CRM systems
  • Strong understanding of B2B marketing metrics
  • Knowledge of account-based marketing strategies and best practices
  • Exceptional copywriting skills
  • Experience working with global teams across multiple locations and cultures
  • An eye for design and brand guardianship

Bonus points for

  • Experience using a content management system (e.g. Webflow)
  • Experience using design software (e.g. Canva, Figma)
  • Experience using video editing software (e.g. iMovie)

We offer

  • Competitive, results-based compensation
  • Access to our employee stock options plan
  • Private medical insurance
  • Flexible work hours in a focused but casual environment
  • Education Stipend
  • Flexible compensation
  • English classes
  • A big vision: to help the world use location-based data to make better decisions. We believe that openness and sustainability are baked into this vision, and we’re sharing it with the world.
