About the Role:
We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and people-first Design Manager to join our Marketing team. In this role, you’ll manage and mentor a small team of graphic designers. As a creative leader, you’ll drive high-impact campaigns, marketing assets, and brand consistency while fostering a culture of design excellence, experimentation, and thoughtful execution.
This is a rare opportunity for someone who can think big and get hands-on—shaping the creative direction of a fast-growing company while also coaching a talented team to reach their full potential.
What You’ll Do
Creative Leadership
- Champion Katalon’s brand across all visual and marketing initiatives — ensuring consistent, high-quality execution.
- Manage and mentor a small team of graphic designers — supporting their development and wellbeing.
- Prioritize projects, allocate team resources, and manage timelines to ensure on-time, high-quality delivery.
- Provide clear art direction, constructive feedback, and creative inspiration to guide your team and elevate their work.
- Contribute to creative strategy and brainstorming for integrated campaigns, brand initiatives, and launches.
Hands-On Graphic Design
- Collaborate with the marketing team to deliver polished, on-brand visual content and actively contribute to key design projects — creating web pages, whitepapers, reports, digital ads, and other core marketing assets.
- Design intuitive, conversion-optimized landing pages and campaign microsites in collaboration with web developers and marketers.
- Balance leadership duties with high-quality individual design work as needed to meet business goals or elevate team output.
Required Skills & Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and ability to present creative work to stakeholders with confidence and clarity.
- Flexibility to work across global timezones with customers and teammates.
- 7+ years of experience in graphic design and art direction (with at least 2+ years in a people management role).
- Strong portfolio demonstrating deep understanding of visual storytelling, layout, typography, and brand expression.
- Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other core design tools.
- Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple projects in a fast-paced, distributed team environment.
Bonus Points (Preferred, Not Required)
- Experience in a SaaS or tech company.
- Familiarity with motion design, video editing, or 3D design.
- Passion for building and documenting design systems or creative operations workflows.
Why You’ll Love This Role
- Enjoy remote flexibility and strong leadership support.
- Shape the future of a global, fast-growing software brand.
- Work with a talented, mission-driven team who values creativity, autonomy, and experimentation.
- Lead meaningful design projects that impact thousands of users and shape how the world sees Katalon.
