Overview
The Director of Growth Operations must have integrity, be curious, have courage, and care about excellence. We are doing growth differently - guided by our values and following the passions and insights of our digital services teams. You must be a servant leader - the role is to coach, teach, and grow our team so the growth organization and the digital services organization work in close partnership. You will build our growth enablement team to include proposal management and pricing and must have a deep understanding of the entire bid process.
You will manage and develop the growth enablement team to achieve excellence in all deliverables throughout the bid process as well as develop and maintain processes across the growth team.
What You’ll Do
- Build and lead a high-performing growth enablement team to support capture, proposal development, bid strategy, and pricing execution.
- Design, implement, and scale repeatable growth operations and processes across the organization to enable sustainable, efficient business development.
- Coach and advise internal teams and company leaders on organic growth strategies to retain and expand existing contracts, including recompetes.
- Develop, standardize, and drive adoption of growth playbooks, tools, and templates for capture, teaming, proposal development, and pipeline management.
- Ensure growth efforts align with company goals, mission, and values, and are measured effectively for performance and improvement.
- Support planning for graduation from small business status, including organizational readiness and long-term growth planning.
- Support development and execution of Joint Venture (JV) strategies and strategic partnerships.
- Partner with leadership to support and execute go-to-market strategies for both new and existing service offerings.
- Oversee operational functions such as CRM management, reporting, pipeline reviews, and growth-related tooling and process improvement.
- Support the entire growth team in meeting or exceeding revenue and growth targets.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support scaling and evolving business needs.
- Candidates should expect to travel up to 10%.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in public sector growth, with a strong understanding of the full federal growth lifecycle.
- 3+ years working within or supporting small business public sector contractors.
- 3+ years’ experience in management or team leadership.
- Demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for digital services delivery in government.
- Experience across both Civilian and Defense agencies. Experience supporting growth efforts with the Department of Veterans Affairs and State Department preferred.
- Proven success leading or managing winning proposal teams, including strategy, writing, compliance checks, editing, and final production.
- Experience leading prime opportunities >$25M preferred.
- Experience leading other proposal efforts including tech demos, oral presentations, and design challenges.
- Strong track record in designing and optimizing growth processes and operational frameworks.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with delivery, technical, and executive stakeholders.
- Experience forming and managing strategic industry partnerships.
- Experience leadering or supporting pricing analysis, pricing negotiation, and pricing submissions preferred.
- Experience managing external consultants and subject matter experts for growth needs preferred.
Skills
- Deep knowledge of Federal procurement, acquisition lifecycles, and relevant regulations.
- Proficient in using Federal BD platforms (e.g., GovWin, C2P, SAM.gov, FPDS).
- Experience with a variety of contract vehicles (e.g., IDIQs, GWACs, BPAs, FSS).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Comfortable wearing multiple hats.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and standard business software (Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Slack, Teams, SharePoint).

$181,000 - $203,000 a year
Annual salary range is $181,000 to $203,000 + Benefits + Growth Potential
Placement within this range will be based on the competency level of the candidate. An offer will be made at one of the following tiers:
Tier 1: $181,000— Meets minimum qualification/experience requirements. Beyond onboarding, will need additional guidance and training to perform key responsibilities of the role.
Tier 2: $192,000— Experienced and fully-competent. Beyond onboarding, can independently perform key responsibilities of the role.
Tier 3: $203,000— Highly-experienced and can perform all responsibilities of the role at a higher level than expected once onboarding is completed.
Performance-Based Commissions
In addition to base salary, this role includes performance-based commissions tied to contract wins:Commission Structure: A flat commission percentage of Total Contract Value (TCV) for awarded high-value deals where the Director of Growth Enablement plays a significant role in capture, proposal, or close.
Commissions are uncapped and paid quarterly based on realized contract revenue.
To honor our company-wide equitable pay system, the posted salary range and corresponding tier salaries are non-negotiable.
This position requires US Citizenship.
