Job description
At Rethink Behavioral Health, we’re reimagining how behavioral health providers deliver care through innovative, tech-enabled solutions that empower clinicians, drive better outcomes, and scale impact. As part of RethinkFirst, a mission-driven company at the intersection of healthcare and education, our Behavioral Health division serves thousands of organizations and professionals across the country.
We’re growing fast—and we’re looking for a dynamic Director of Partnerships to accelerate that growth by building and scaling meaningful, revenue-driving partner relationships.
The Role
As Director of Partnerships, you’ll be both strategist and operator—equal parts relationship-builder, deal-closer, and team leader. You’ll own our existing partnerships and build new ones, creating repeatable systems for growth and value delivery. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role reporting directly to the VP of Sales with strong cross-functional collaboration across Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and Executive teams.
This role is ideal for someone who loves solving complex problems, thrives on autonomy, and has a proven track record of turning partnerships into growth engines. This opportunity is more than a job—it’s a chance to shape the future of behavioral health through innovative partnerships and scalable systems.
If you’re a strategic thinker, relationship builder, and natural problem solver, we’d love to hear from you!
What You’ll Do
- Grow and Lead Partnerships
- Own, manage, and deepen relationships with existing partners, ensuring measurable value, retention, and revenue growth.
- Serve as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact for strategic partners.
- Lead an emerging partnership team with a focus on growth and performance, while also contributing directly to high-priority partner relationships and deals.
- Drive Enablement and Adoption
- Lead enablement initiatives that equip partner teams with the knowledge, tools, and playbooks to successfully sell and position Rethink.
- Establish key provider metrics to monitor partner performance and proactively course-correct when needed.
- Build Scalable Systems and Processes
- Design and implement processes that streamline partner onboarding, engagement, reporting, and ongoing collaboration.
- Identify and Secure New Partners
- Develop and execute strategies to source, vet, negotiate, and onboard new high-potential partnerships that align with our growth goals.
- Attend industry conferences to build our brand and relationships.
- Cross-Functional Strategy and Alignment
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success to ensure partner strategies are aligned with go-to-market plans and product roadmap.
- Influence broader company strategy through insights gathered from partner ecosystems.
- Support Revenue and Deal Flow
- Assist in developing partner-sourced pipeline and help close deals emerging from partnership activity.
- Problem Solve Proactively
- Lead resolution efforts around partner issues to ensure satisfaction, retention, and brand trust.
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years of experience including 4+ years in leadership in partnerships, business development, or strategic sales roles—preferably in healthcare, behavioral health, or health tech.
- Proven success managing strategic partnerships end-to-end, from sourcing to scaling.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in team mentorship or player/coach models.
- Excellent communicator with the ability to influence at all levels, internally and externally.
- Strong project management skills, with a demonstrable ability to corral and manage details in a fast-paced, fluid environment.
- Data-savvy with experience measuring, analyzing, and being accountable to well-defined sales metrics/KPIs that inform strategy.
- Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, dynamic, high-growth environment.
- Ability to work independently, to make sound business decisions and handle a variety of challenging responsibilities.
- Availability to travel 10-20%
- Proficient with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot), partnership enablement software, MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SharePoint, Microsoft Teams
