About The Role: As an Engineer II at Rev.io you will be quickly trusted to own major parts of both the codebase and our processes. You will primarily focus on day-to-day development and support for the software platform your team has ownership of. Finally you will collaborate and learn together with you team to grow your own skills as well as mentor more junior software Engineers. This role will be working on our Odin platform that functions as a high performing, event driven REST API and client portal for users to interact with the BroadWorks soft switch.

Responsibilities for this position include:

  • · Full-stack development and maintenance in a Laravel/PHP/React application
  • · Provide mentorship and leadership for the developers on your team
  • · Work with your manager and leadership to improve team efficiency and effectiveness
  • · Be energetic, forward-thinking, and ready to contribute ideas towards business objectives
  • · Balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced process, while promoting a team environment

Skills Needed:

  • · Possess a strong passion for working with technical teams and has 3+ years of development experience in the Laravel/PHP/React tech stack
  • · Understanding of and experience administering Google Cloud Platform environment
  • · Firm understanding of SQL and the ability to work effectively with a large data model
  • · Possess the ability to critically review and provide feedback on code functionality, readability, and maintainability in accordance with our standards
  • · Exhibit strong mentorship skills and the ability to coach others.
  • · Display excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
  • · Strong interpersonal skills
  • · Excellent listening and communications skills

Preferred Skills:

  • · Knowledge of the BroadWorks platform and electronic provisioning services
  • · Experience running software in a Docker or Minikube environment
