We are seeking experienced and passionate Freelance Facilitators to join our growing network of L&D professionals for future opportunities. As a key player in our project teams, you will be instrumental in guiding diverse groups through impactful learning experiences, fostering engaging discussions, and ensuring the successful achievement of learning objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Engaging Learning Experiences: Lead and guide virtual and in-person workshops, training sessions, and collaborative meetings for corporate clients across various industries.
  • Achieve Learning Objectives: Effectively deliver content and facilitate activities to ensure participants grasp key concepts, develop new skills, and meet defined learning outcomes.
  • Promote Active Participation: Create a supportive and inclusive environment that encourages open dialogue, critical thinking, and active engagement from all participants.
  • Manage Group Dynamics: Skillfully navigate discussions, address challenges, resolve conflicts, and keep groups focused and productive.
  • Adapt and Improvise: Demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to adjust facilitation approaches based on group needs, unexpected challenges, and real-time feedback.
  • Collaborate with Project Teams: Work closely with SweetRush’s instructional designers, project managers, and other team members to understand learning objectives, review materials, and contribute to the overall success of the program.
  • Provide Feedback and Insights: Offer constructive feedback on learning materials and processes to continuously improve the effectiveness of programs.
  • Maintain Professionalism: Represent SweetRush with a high level of professionalism, integrity, and client-centric approach.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience (minimum 5 years preferred) as a corporate facilitator, trainer, or workshop leader in both virtual and in-person settings.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, and speak effectively before large and small groups.
  • Demonstrated active listening skills to draw out insights and encourage participation.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build rapport and connect with diverse audiences.
  • Strong questioning and active listening skills to draw out insights and encourage participation.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage group dynamics, handle challenging discussions, and keep sessions on track and within timeframes.
  • Proficiency in virtual facilitation platforms and tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Mural, Miro, etc.).
  • Experience in designing and developing engaging learning activities and content is a plus.
  • Ability to synthesize and summarize key points from discussions.
  • Self-motivated, highly organized, and detail-oriented with excellent time management skills.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to work effectively as part of a remote team.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Adult Education, Organizational Development, Human Resources, Communications) or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to travel for in-person facilitation as required by client projects.

Experience Facilitating the Following Subjects is Preferred:

  • Competency/Soft Skill Development: Formal skill development to support soft skills (i.e., communication, collaboration, emotional intelligence).
  • Core Competencies: Training on fundamental organizational capabilities.
  • Leadership Competencies: Development in areas such as coaching, delegation, strategic thinking, and team leadership.
  • Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB): Acumen and skills development related to fostering inclusive environments.
  • Technical Skills: Facilitation of subjects like Project Management, Design Thinking, and other specialized technical areas.

Nice-to-Have Certifications:

Certifications demonstrating advanced skills or specialized knowledge in facilitation, training, or related areas are a plus, and may include:

  • International Association of Facilitators (IAF) Certified™ Professional Facilitator (CPF)
  • Certified Master Facilitator® (CMF®) from INIFAC
  • Association for Talent Development (ATD) Certifications (e.g., Associate Professional in Talent Development (APTD), Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD))
  • Technology of Participation (ToP)® Facilitator Certification (CTF)
  • Certified Professional in Training Management (CPTM)
  • Certifications in psychometric assessments often used in corporate training (e.g., Everything DiSC®, MBTI®, StrengthsFinder®, Hogan Assessments)
  • Certified Agile Facilitator (CAF) (for those with experience in agile environments)
