What You’ll Do
Join our internal Communications Team as a Graphic Design & Communications Specialist, where you you’ll be a creative force on our Internal Communications Team.
Reporting to the Manager, Communications, you’ll blend your artistic flair with strategic communication skills to create visually stunning content that engages and inspires our people.
Graphics Design & Visualization
- Develop eye-catching visual concepts based on requirements.
- Design digital assets like event invitations, illustrations, infographics, Canva templates, and PowerPoint presentations.
- Revise and refine designs based on feedback until they shine.
- Ensure all deliverables stay on-brand, are visually compelling, tell our story and audience-appropriate.
Communication & Storytelling
- Collaborate & create with cross-functional teams, Internal Communications and Human Resources team to develop engaging content.
- Support internal campaigns such as employee engagement initiatives, newsletters, and announcements.
- Maintain communication and event calendars.
- Assist with ad hoc communications projects a needed.
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- A Great Attitude!
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in communications, graphic design or a related field.
- 2 years of relevant experience.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Premiere) and MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint).
- Strong design skills with solid understanding of layout, typography, and branding.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Primarily remote, with the ability to travel to Mississauga and surrounding area as required.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and storytelling abilities.
- Proficiency in using various types of photographic equipment is a plus.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily remote, with travel to Mississauga and area.
- Travel flexibility required based on project needs.
