Job description
WHO WE ARE:
Founded in 2010, we started RevenueWell because we saw a way to use the latest marketing automation technology to help dentists build better, more connected relationships with their patients and communities. We think it’s a problem worth solving, and thousands of dental practices across the country seem to agree. The company has grown very quickly over the last few years, and we’re now a team of about 200 diverse people that are committed to our mission, super-focused on our product, and fanatical about helping our customers succeed.
In December 2019, we partnered with Marlin Equity Partners to help us aggressively expand our vision in healthcare. Since then, we have more than doubled our footprint (through strong organic growth and acquisition of PBHS) to over 12,000 customers, and we are just getting started! If you are excited about healthcare, working with talented people, aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves, and want to help build a healthcare technology company that makes a real difference for providers and patients – this opportunity might just be for you.
WHY WE’RE LOOKING:
We’re seeking a Lead Engineer to strengthen our technical leadership and drive innovation in software delivery. This individual will combine deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, React, and cloud platforms with a passion for team leadership and mentorship. As a Lead Engineer, you will own one of our core product domains, delivering resilient, highly testable solutions that serve both patients and practices. You will play a critical role in shaping our technology roadmap, promoting modern engineering practices, and fostering a culture of excellence. - Lead a global team of strong software engineers and SDET.
- Lead the design, development, and delivery of robust, scalable web applications and backend services using the .NET stack and Azure Cloud technologies.
- Model and engineer highly available, resilient, reusable, and performant systems.
- Own end-to-end technical problem-solving, including defect resolution during testing, pre-production, production, and post-release support.
- Create proofs of concept and prototypes to evaluate new ideas and technologies.
- Research and assess third-party solutions and integration opportunities.
- Uphold and advance engineering standards, best practices, and architectural patterns across projects.
- Influence technology strategy by participating in key discussions around business alignment, people, and process impacts.
- Foster a culture of accountability by delivering individual and team outcomes consistently and reliably.
- Promote psychological safety within the team and create a collaborative, inclusive environment.
- Mentor, coach, and elevate other engineers through regular feedback and knowledge-sharing.
- Advocate for continuous learning, cloud technology adoption, and best-in-class engineering practices.
- Contribute subject matter expertise in design, architecture, and software development practices.
- Clearly articulate technical concepts, trade-offs, and risk assessments to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Web Systems, or related field—or equivalent work experience.
- 7+ years of experience developing with Microsoft C#/.NET Framework/.NET Core.
- 5+ years of experience with distributed systems and microservices architectures.
- Strong experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating with third-party services.
- Hands-on experience with major cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS acceptable).
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
- Knowledge of security, authentication/authorization, scalability, high availability, and concurrency best practices.
- Proven experience delivering resilient, high-performance services in production environments.
- Strong database skills (both relational and non-relational).
- Agile/Scrum development experience.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
