Our partner organization is seeking a Manager, Development to lead and execute signature fundraising events across Wisconsin, with a focus on the Chippewa Falls, Madison, and La Crosse areas. This remote role plays a vital part in advancing the mission to support individuals and families affected by ALS through fundraising, outreach, and community engagement. The Manager will work closely with the Director of Development and a collaborative development team to drive successful event outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement a fundraising strategy to achieve a minimum revenue goal of $500,000 through three major events annually.
Support the recruitment, engagement, and retention of honorary chairs, event committees, and community stakeholders.
Conduct outreach to sponsors and donors through meetings, calls, and emails; ensure all sponsorship benefits are fulfilled in accordance with partnership agreements.
Collaborate with the marketing team to create and execute communication strategies and coordinate production of promotional materials.
Ensure events align with organizational standards, policies, and procedures.
Track and analyze event performance weekly and collaborate on strategies to drive attendance and revenue growth.
Manage event budgets; perform reconciliation of projections versus actual expenses.
Attend key events, team meetings, and territory-wide functions, including occasional overnight travel within the assigned region.
Partner with service teams to incorporate voices of individuals and families impacted by ALS into fundraising and awareness initiatives.
Contribute to a multi-state development strategy as part of a cooperative and mission-driven team.
Provide additional support for fundraising and mission goals as needed.
Bachelorβs degree (preferred).
At least 2 years of experience in event planning and fundraising.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals, including staff, volunteers, and donors.
Experience with peer-to-peer fundraising campaigns and volunteer committee leadership (preferred).
Familiarity with managing walk teams and corporate partnerships (preferred but not required).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and video conferencing tools.
Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce and fundraising platforms like Luminate Online (preferred).
Annual salary range: $49,440 β $59,196, dependent on experience and location.
