Job description
What we need:
We’re looking for a Software Engineer with experience designing, building and maintaining high-scale, big-data distributed systems. You’ll work closely with a strong team of 16 DevOps engineers across the company to deliver stable and highly scalable product.
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate on designing and setting up new features and system improvements.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Lead efforts to enhance observability through advanced monitoring and logging solutions.
- Update and maintain software processes and tools.
- Quickly respond to any issues in production and team up with others to fix them.
- Bring in current IT best practices to our setup.
- Work on reducing costs for the solutions we use.
- Database administration
Minimum Qualifications:
- Have 3+ years of direct experience working in cloud infrastructure or software development.
- 3+ years experience with Kubernetes
- 2+ years experience with GCP or
- 3+ years experience with AWS or Azure
- Programming skills in any scripting language
- Practical knowledge in monitoring, logging, and setting up alerts.
- Practical knowledge in monitoring, logging, and setting up alerts.
- Grafana / Open Telemetry
- Elasticsearch
Preferred Qualifications:
- Aerospike, MongoDB experience is a plus
- Familiarity with high-scale, big-data distributed systems.
- Familiar with CI/CD processes and tools.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools terraform/config connector/cross plane.
- Skills in infrastructure or cost optimization.
- Knowledge in the administration of PostgreSQL
- Knowledge in the administration of Hadoop / HBase
