Mid-level

Job description

Mito has grown from 3 guys, averaging an age of 27, to four business units with over 200 people dreaming up the most clever things our clients have ever seen (unless they’ve seen the Large Hadron Collider). We work in four business units, all sharing the same DNA, but doing a lot of exciting stuff, from local and global campaigns to cutting-edge digital tools used by millions.

We’re now looking for a People & Culture Advisor to support two of our business units. You’ll be working closely with team leads and colleagues on everything from recruitment and employee relations and performance reviews to team dynamics and collaboration.

If you care about people and culture – and like clever things – we’d love to meet you.

Your tasks will be:

  • Being the supporting foundation to team leads when it comes to employee relation matters: remember this is your domain and your experience and expertise will always be heard and appreciated (pinky promise).
  • Working with our entire People and Culture team on everything from performance management to policy and process improvements.
  • Cascading HR initiatives, changes and useful information to your dedicated units.
  • Follow-up the onboarding, integration, and well-being of the newcomers. You will be an essential part of the team, escorting our people through their whole journey.
  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including preparing job descriptions, advertising, screening candidates, conducting interviews, and preparing employment offers.
  • If you feel that you have any further ideas about how we could be more efficient and well-organised, we are always ready to listen.
  • Plan and deliver internal trainings focused on soft skills and strengthening our company culture – whether it’s about communication, giving feedback, or enhancing collaboration, you’ll be the one helping our teams grow not only in efficiency but in meaningful human connections too.

We need you to have:

  • An HR generalist, advisor or a recruiter background (ideally 2-3 years)
  • A decent amount of experience in recruiting for various digital or tech related roles (e.g. product managers, digital project managers, UX designers, business analysts, frontend developers, ballet dancers, kindergarten teachers, etc.)
  • A sense of ownership. We won’t tell you how to do your thing: you’re the expert and we will rely on you to complete our hiring needs and improve our processes while you’re at it.
  • Ability to handle complex situations with empathy and patience and understand the needs of the team leads as well as other (and future) team members. Beekeepers welcome.
  • A strong understanding of Hungarian labor law and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Tech savvyness and an analytical mind - yes, we love facts and reports as a strong base for our operation. There’s nothing more beautiful than feelings expressed in a spreadsheet.
  • You’ll need to speak HR in both English and Hungarian – fluently in one, natively in the other.

What We Offer

Hybrid Work & Flexibility: We work in a hybrid setup with no mandatory office days – you’re free to work from home whenever it suits you. Each team finds its own rhythm: some enjoy meeting 2–3 times a week, others come in just 1–2 times a month. When we do gather, our cozy downtown Budapest office offers a relaxed, welcoming vibe – with unlimited coffee, fresh fruit and veggies to keep you fueled.

Dog-Friendly Office: Bring your four-legged friend along—we love dogs in the office, and they’re always welcome as part of the team!

Work from Abroad: Need a change of scenery? You can work remotely from abroad for a limited time each year—or escape to the Hungarian countryside or Lake Balaton for a peaceful workweek close to nature.

Cutting-Edge Tools & Setup: You get to choose the gear that works best for you—Mac or Windows, it’s your call. We also provide extra monitors to support a smooth, ergonomic workflow if you need them.

Meaningful Projects, Global Impact: Work with diverse teams on international projects that shape travel, tech, and creative communication across the globe.

Smooth Onboarding & Dedicated Support: Start strong with a structured onboarding plan and a personal buddy to guide you through your first weeks.

Continuous Learning & Growth: Coaching, training, conferences, and mentoring—plus clear career paths and internal opportunities to gain new skills and take the next step in your journey.

Extra Time Off: Our “Level Up” program rewards your loyalty with additional paid vacation days as your journey with us continues.

Team Spirit & Shared Experiences: From local and international team buildings to seasonal parties and creative internal events, you’ll find community and connection.

Health & Lifestyle Benefits: Enjoy a yearly personal budget for sports, education, or commuting. You’ll also have access to comprehensive annual preventive health screenings.

Family-Friendly Environment: We support working parents with initiatives like our in-house kids’ day camp—a fun, week-long program to keep your little ones engaged during school breaks.
