Job Functions
- Enhance and integrate Autodesk ShotGrid/Flow and other database systems to support production needs, including web-based and desktop applications.
- Develop new features, extend existing tools, and design applications in coordination with senior engineers and technical directors.
- Engage with non-technical end users to define requirements and improve production workflows.
- Develop test, deploy new ShotGrid/Flow-based tools, and enhance user experience.
- Adhere to software development best practices, including documentation, testing, and version control.
- Maintain and support existing tools through bug fixes and updates.
- Provide user support, training, and documentation.
- Assist MacOS and Linux users as needed.
Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience developing custom tools and workflows with ShotGrid/Flow in an animation or VFX studio environment.
- Proficiency in Python, PyQt/PySide2, and JavaScript.
- Experience working with ShotGrid/Flow’s Python and REST APIs, native UI, and automation processes.
- Familiarity with Git, Github and other source management tools.
- Experience with web technologies such as Django, Flask, React, and Node.js.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL.
- Familiarity with tools like Visual Studio and Postman.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab runners, Jenkins)
- Experience with cloud services (AWS Lambda and Azure Functions)
