Summary

Join our team as an experienced Project Manager (PM) to support a Head Start Contract, planning and executing activities in accordance with the contract to ensure successful delivery of Early Head Start and Head Start program objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum six (6) years of Project Management experience managing client services projects of the size, scope and complexity like this project
  • 6+ years’ experience related to program and/or organizational management and/or fiscal operations with HS/EHS programs and the development and implementation of comprehensive management systems
  • Ability/experience in successfully developing, implementing and managing/improving complex, high profile, multi-faceted projects including experience in implementing quality assurance systems that improved the provision of client services
  • Ability to review, aggregate, and present data gathered from multiple sources
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite and leading work execution/project platforms and tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Experience managing implementation projects in the early childhood education, healthcare or related area
  • Lead Head Start Team with executing coordinated organization, direction and implementation of complex projects and integration of Knowledge Areas, with an initial focus on Scope, Schedule, Cost, resources and Risks
  • Track and manage all Regional Office (RO) activities, timelines, resources, outcomes, etc
  • Plan, execute, monitor and modify Early Head Start and Head Start program work and processes via a detailed plan; assume responsibility for the program deliverables and results
  • Prepare and maintain Head Start tracking tools to identify competing deadlines and ensure timely completion of deliverables
  • Document and maintains Head Start project work plan, meetings, decisions, work change orders, project deliverables, progress reports, schedules, and other pertinent reports
  • Develop and implement a Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and/or Corrective Action Plan (CAP) that addresses root causes of the areas of noncompliance and deficiencies with all applicable Head Start policies and procedures
  • Prepare timely and accurate Monthly Status Reports, Task Summary Reports, and other reports as required by the client
  • Improvement of program oversight and management in areas of concern identified
  • Maintain and update Head Start document management sites
  • Prepare and deliver status reports as required by the program
  • Develop a clear and well-defined communication plan that considers all stakeholders
  • Ensure staff understand their duties and are aware of performance expectations and deadlines
  • Monitor staff productivity and work quality; provide regular on-going and constructive feedback, and supportive coaching
