THE TEAM:
The Real Estate Counsel, Renewables will play a key role in Unisonβs core mission.Β We seek experienced counsel with demonstrated success in executing business strategy, accelerating a pipeline of transactions to closing, and exercising sound judgment to assess and manage portfolio risk. Β The attorney will interact regularly with team members from senior management, origination, pricing, and property management, while working remotely from their home office.
THE JOB:
-Leading efforts to support the origination and closing of renewable energy real estate assets in the United States.
-Managing a pipeline of deals across the United States and facilitating dialogue between pricing, origination, legal, and the management team.
-Negotiating and drafting documents for commercial real estate transactions.
-Overseeing due diligence activities and underwriting assets for lease terms, projected cash flow, and operator, offtaker, and facility information.
-Advising on strategic transactions and commercial matters.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-5-10 years as a commercial real estate attorney at a mid to large-sized law firm and in-house at a renewable energy developer is required.
-Deep knowledge of the financing, development, and operation of solar and wind facilities.
-Fluent with technology and remote work.
-Juris Doctor and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
