THE TEAM:
The Real Estate Counsel, Renewables will play a key role in Unison’s core mission. We seek experienced counsel with demonstrated success in executing business strategy, accelerating a pipeline of transactions to closing, and exercising sound judgment to assess and manage portfolio risk. The attorney will interact regularly with team members from senior management, origination, pricing, and property management, while working remotely from their home office.
THE JOB:
-Leading efforts to support the origination and closing of renewable energy real estate assets in the United States.
-Managing a pipeline of deals across the United States and facilitating dialogue between pricing, origination, legal, and the management team.
-Negotiating and drafting documents for commercial real estate transactions.
-Overseeing due diligence activities and underwriting assets for lease terms, projected cash flow, and operator, offtaker, and facility information.
-Advising on strategic transactions and commercial matters.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
-5-10 years as a commercial real estate attorney at a mid to large-sized law firm and in-house at a renewable energy developer is required.
-Deep knowledge of the financing, development, and operation of solar and wind facilities.
-Fluent with technology and remote work.
-Juris Doctor and bar admission in good standing in at least one U.S. state.
