Job Overview:
The Regional Sales Manager North America is primarily responsible for sales and account management of Specialty Fabrics customers supplied from Landim, Portugal & Hlinsko, Czech Republic facilities. Where regionally reasonable, this role includes single end cord products produced in Martinsville, VA. This role requires travel in North America including Canada and Mexico.
The Regional Sales Manager should be focused on new business development and support of existing business.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Manage portfolios of customers in specialty fabrics and single end cord;
- Prepare and schedule visits with existing and potential customers;
- Organize and prepare meetings with customers, prepare price sheets, organize, and communicate development activities, update internal development tracking documents;
- Issue business reports, document the requested sales activities;
- Provide & develop information for the sales budget, sales forecasts, sales reports for each customer, product and region;
- Analyze and monitor the market and competitors, identifying potential leads and business opportunities;
- Develop sales strategies to maximize growth and profitability in the North American market;
- All other sales & marketing tasks as assigned by the Global Market Leader
Requirement/Qualifications:
- Textile manufacturing or prior sales account management experience preferred.
- 4 year degree in the textile field preferred
- Must be a self-starter, able to effectively manage based on the needs of the business
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and willing to learn SAP operational software
- Multi-lingual a plus but not required
Summary:
One primary focus of this role is to act as an intermediary between Portugal and North American accounts. There are time zone, language and cultural barriers between manufacturing and North American accounts, this role’s primary purpose is to help bridge those gaps regardless of account assignment. Travel, “as necessary”, will be expected, but should not be more than 40-50% of the working time in the role. Reports after visits should be timely and detailed.
