Job Description

Role Summary

You will focus on managing financial risks, implementing controls, and ensuring accurate accounting processes. You will have a background in financial risk assessment, revenue recognition, and compliance with accounting standards. If you are passionate about enhancing financial integrity and safeguarding assets, we encourage you to apply. You will support Experian’s North America and SLATAM teams. You will report to the Accounting and Reporting Director.

Main Responsibilities

  • Control Deployment Management: Oversee the end-to-end process for deploying controls and ensuring revenue recognition processes, including communication, planning, scoping, training, transition, and feedback.
  • Executive Partnership: Manage relationships with executives across multiple teams to ensure excellence in service provided by the GFS Team in Costa Rica.
  • Deliverables Management: Handle quarterly, monthly, and weekly deliverables with a focus on accuracy and excellence, including internal and external audits, peer reviews, and management reviews.
  • Month-End Support: Help with month-end activities for NA and SLATAM Revenue Recognition, such as journal entries, reconciliations, and investigations of open and stale items.
  • Financial Analysis and Communication: Conduct ad hoc financial analyses for month-end and forecast periods for Directors and above, and participate in business calls to explain outputs.
  • Team Leadership and Development: Lead a team of over 10 people, focusing on development to enhance value, improve processes, and use lean and RPA methodologies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, accounting or other related bachelor’s degree.
  • Advanced English level.
  • Minimum of 6+ years of progressive experience in Finance.
  • Experience in finance roles with varying accounting responsibilities including: Revenue Recognition, Reconciliations, Financial Reporting, Journal Entries.
  • Experience business partnering with senior levels of partners.
  • Improve, remove roadblocks in a team environment.
  • Experience managing projects end-to-end and experience getting results, organizing and prioritizing deadlines.
  • Familiar with IFRS15 and SOX Controls deployment as an ideal.
  • Knowledge of Lean training and RPA knowledge.
