Why is this role important to Field Nation?
The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in Field Nation’s demand generation strategy by generating pipeline through outbound prospecting. SDRs are responsible for identifying, engaging, and qualifying high-potential buyers who may not be currently engaged or actively exploring solutions. This outbound-first role focuses on net new logos and aligns closely with our Ideal Customer Profile (ICP).
As part of the Revenue Marketing team, SDRs partner closely with Marketing, Business Development Managers (BDMs), and Account Executives to increase prospect awareness and engagement, and to drive pipeline momentum.
What you’ll get to do:
- Outbound Prospecting & Lead Qualification: Research and prioritize high-potential accounts, execute multi-channel outreach, qualify leads, and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Strategic Messaging: Customize messaging by persona and industry, iterate based on feedback and performance data, and test outbound sequences for effectiveness.
- Collaboration & Handoff: Partner closely with Marketing and Sales teams, provide feedback on campaigns, and ensure smooth lead handoffs with detailed documentation.
- Performance & Optimization: Meet or exceed outreach and conversion targets while continuously seeking feedback and coaching for improvement.
- Process Discipline: Adhere to SLAs, maintain clean data in Salesforce, and ensure consistent reporting and pipeline visibility.
You might be a good fit if you have:
- 2+ years of experience in sales, lead generation, or outbound prospecting
- Strong verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales enablement tools (e.g., Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo)
- Curiosity and a self-starter mindset—you’re not afraid to dive into new verticals or conversations. You’ll pick up the phone and make the call
- Experience in Field Service, Telecom, IT Services, Technology, Staffing, or Retail preferred

$60,000 - $60,000 a year

We select our initial range based on reliable compensation survey data. Other factors we consider in setting the specific pay for an individual will generally include, among other things, experience, specialized skills, work location, and internal equity to provide competitive offers. Additionally, every role is eligible for variable pay dependent on the position.
As an agile and growing organization, the business needs may change. This may result in us hiring someone with less or more experience than the job description states. If that does happen, we will communicate the updated salary range and the new role to you as a candidate.

Base Salary Range | Minnesota or other Zone 3 | $60,000
On-Target Earnings Range Begin At | Minnesota or other Zone 3 (similar metros in the US) | $85,000
On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range includes the base salary and sales commission pay based on expected performance targets. In addition, Sales roles allow uncapped earning potential for over-performance.
