Senior Account Executive – Full-time (FT) Columbus, OH

We are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join our growing team. This leadership role is responsible for driving business growth by identifying and securing new client relationships while expanding existing accounts. The ideal candidate will have proven networking skills and a strong ability to foster meaningful connections that lead to new business opportunities. They will serve as a strategic partner to clients, understanding their needs and aligning DI’s services to provide impactful solutions.

Responsibilities

The Senior Account Executive will be highly motivated, results-driven, and skilled in relationship-building. They will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to expand DI’s market presence and drive revenue growth. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, entrepreneurial in spirit, and capable of navigating complex sales cycles with executive stakeholders.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities through strategic outreach, networking, and relationship-building.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders in target industries.
  • Create and execute account growth strategies, ensuring long-term success and expansion of client partnerships.
  • Lead negotiations and close high-value deals that align with DI’s service offerings and business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, delivery, and leadership, to ensure seamless client engagement.
  • Analyze market trends and competitive landscape to refine sales strategies and uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Provide consultative sales expertise, understanding client needs and positioning DI’s Data & Analytics solutions effectively.
  • Drive revenue growth by consistently achieving and exceeding sales targets and KPIs.
  • Represent DI at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to build brand awareness and generate leads.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a client-facing sales or business development role.
  • Demonstrated success in landing new business and expanding client relationships in a services-based industry.
  • Experience in Data & Analytics services or technology consulting is highly preferred.
  • Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a B2B environment.
  • Expertise in navigating complex sales cycles with executive-level stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills to foster long-term client partnerships.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities in high-value sales environments.
  • Ability to develop and execute strategic growth plans for new and existing clients.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess client needs and market opportunities.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
  • Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot or similar) and sales pipeline management.
  • The Senior Account Executive at DI will play a pivotal role in driving business growth, fostering client relationships, and expanding our market reach.

Work Environment:

  • Remote work from home.
  • Travel 10%
  • Hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday. Specific business hours will depend on client needs.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with clients and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • The person in this position must occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, library stacks, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and printer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with clients and coworkers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
