How you’ll make an impact
The Senior Accountant role plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the finance function.
They help drive financial efficiency, accuracy and compliance across the business.
What you’ll do
A confident individual contributor, you’ll support the smooth operating of the finance team by:
- Creating the invoices for some of our largest and most important customers
- Reviewing revenue, to ensure all work completed by our workers has been invoiced
- Creating credit notes when required
- Assisting with month end completion and reporting, including the preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
- Supporting the accounts receivable process by providing required information to account managers
- Updating financial and cash flow forecast models
- Maintaining and continuously optimising Sidekicker’s finance processes
- Ad hoc analysis and tasks as required by the Head of Finance
- Ensure effective communication within the business unit and with the rest of the business
About you
Critical Competencies
- Must be able to work accurately and to set reporting deadlines.
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the propensity to foster long-standing business relationships
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and delegate responsibilities
- Thorough technical knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Problem solver, analytical thinker, and decision-maker
Experience
- Must be a suitably qualified Accountant with strong current Technical Knowledge.
- 3+ years of experience in a similar role
- Experience in the delivery of the core accounting functions and governance frameworks
- Experience working with an Australian Business preferrable
- Technology industry experiences a distinct advantage
