About the role

As a Senior Application Security Engineer, you’ll be central to shaping Coalition’s product and engineering culture by embedding security throughout our technology. You’ll look beyond individual vulnerabilities to identify and implement the strategic solutions that both reduce risk and increase Engineering velocity.  You’ll be a trusted partner to the engineering team at the earliest stages of exciting projects involving AI and other new technologies.  Finally, you will gain broad experience through the operational responsibilities, such as bug bounty and incident response, which are core to a modern application security progam. Responsibilities

  • Perform technical security assessments, code and design reviews.
  • Develop internal application security solutions including CI/CD pipelines.
  • Mentor and train engineers to build secure products.
  • Implement automated, proactive security measures (e.g., SAST/DAST/Frameworks)
  • Help run offensive pen-testing operations.

Skills and Qualifications

  • At least 5+ years of direct experience either working on or guiding an application security team
  • Good understanding of computer science fundamentals and at least one programming language (preferably Python or Go)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated examples of influencing others.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and handle ambiguity.
