What will the role involve?
Be a focal point for our cloud platform roadmap, infrastructure and best practices
Leading initiatives and acting as a ‘pod lead’ where you will own technical strategy, execution, tooling and best practices
Collaborate with multiple product teams and respective owners to design infrastructure as we scale
Building custom metrics and features to enhance Primer’s observability
Infrastructure as code (IaC) development
Writing processes and documentation for system design, troubleshooting and maintenance
What are we looking for?
Strong experience with a cloud provider (AWS preferred but we’re open to Azure and GCP)
Use of Terraform as infrastructure as code
Comfortable using Python/Golang as a programming language
Experience around building and maintaining production-grade Kubernetes clusters
Knowledge of security best practices and the ability to implement security controls at the infrastructure level
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like DataDog or Grafana’s observability stack(Prometheus, Tempo, Loki, Grafana)
Familiarity with the open standard OpenTelemetry
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, we’re a collaborative team!
This position can be based ANYWHERE in European time zones, working remotely 100% of the time
Our engineering teams work fully remotely across Europe and operate within local timezones - if you are not based in the above countries listed but would still like to apply please let us know in your application
