We at Holycode are currently looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong skills and proven experience to join our Aktiia (Hilo) team here in our Belgrade office.

Aktiia is a venture-backed startup that has developed and brought the worldโ€™s first continuous blood pressure monitor to market. Their technology is based on 15 years of research by our founders at the prestigious Swiss research institution, CSEM. Aktiia’s solution has been validated through extensive clinical trials and received the CE Mark as a Class IIa medical device giving them access to 43 countries worldwide.

Challenging things youโ€™ll work on:

  • Configure, run, maintain and improve production and staging environments
  • Collaborate with developers, architects, and QA engineers with a focus on configuration and release management
  • Contribute to software architecture design with a focus on security, scalability, maintainability, cost, and performance
  • Develop and implement strategies for reliability improvements, disaster recovery, and backups
  • Contribute to developing and implementing strategies for internal IT security
  • Implement an infrastructure for build automation, continuous integration, and deployment and contribute to full toolchain automation throughout the product development process
  • Work with a wide range of technologies and tools, such as Pulumi, Python, Java, MySQL, MongoDB, AWS, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Jira
  • Ensure operations of various internal tools and support different teams (certificate and VPN management, user management, etc.)

What youโ€™ll need:

  • Degree in computer science, electrical engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role
  • Previous experience with AWS and related services (EC2, ECS, EKS, S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, Lambda, CloudWatch, ELK) required, AWS certification preferred, MongoDB Atlas…
  • Excellent knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems
  • Knowledge of Python, Bash, or another scripting language
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases, ideally MySQL and MongoDB
  • Experience with at least 2 of the following services/tools: git, Bitbucket, CircleCi, Pulumi, Maven, Gradle, Docker/Kubernetes
  • Willingness to work flexibly, in an interdisciplinary and international environment, depending on the current project status
  • Strong analytical skills and process-oriented work style with a structured, independent approach to work and focus on getting things done
  • You are fluent in English.
