Join Our Team as a Senior Product Manager!
We are hiring the Senior Product Manager for our Generative AI (GenAI) efforts, which are aimed at providing a major boost to our customers’ experiences. We see a myriad of opportunities to apply GenAI to our products, in enhancing direct user-facing applications (e.g. make posting an ad easier, improving discoverability through search relevance), further improving safety for customers with more advanced moderation techniques, and improving internal operations such as customer support.
Many product teams are already experimenting how to best implement GenAI in their domains to improve customer outcomes. The Generative AI team is the central hub that collaborates with product teams to deliver GenAI-enabled solutions in their domains, identify and lead new GenAI-enabled initiatives. You will sit in the “Platform” organization and report to the Head of Product there, and work closely with the Lead Product Manager.
This role is based in Portugal.
Who are we looking for?
- At least 5 years of end-to-end product management experience, ranging from shaping the strategic direction of the product to managing trade-offs in the daily work of product delivery.
- At least 2 years of experience building AI-enabled customer-facing products, in topics such as search and recommendation systems, personalization, dynamic pricing, attribute extraction. Any experience doing so with Generative AI would be a big plus.
- Comfortable engaging with engineers coming from several software engineering areas, from front-end to back-end and ML engineering.
- Experience working with multiple senior stakeholders beyond the product and engineering organization (e.g. finance, executives, marketing); you enjoy collaborating and leading through influence.
- Drive to create a big impact with GenAI for our customers and our company
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
What you will be doing:
- Defining and lead the product vision, strategy, goals, success metrics and roadmaps (short- and long-term) for key streams in our Generative AI teams. You will inspire your teams, stakeholders and build alignment around your plans.
- Building products that are loved by our users: create a great customer experience, raising the bar on quality, functionality and usability - both with your own developments and by enabling the other product packs teams who sit closest to their customers.
- Engaging in different domains, customer problems and opportunities. There is a near endless list of opportunity areas for Generative AI in our business, and this is an almost blank-page space. It will be important that we define a prioritization framework to make sure we focus our resources on the right bets, when we have dozens of different people and interests - from all levels of the company - asking for our GenAI team capacity.
- Together with your Engineering and Data Science counterparts and all your internal customers, you will figure out how we best create an internal GenAI back-end service which helps make it easy for teams to integrate GenAI in their domains, in a cost-effective way. This may include a system for model routing, integrating with 3rd-parties such as AWS Bedrock, internal model building and fine-tuning, and the like
