What You’ll Do as a Senior Product Manager at SMG:
- Serve as the Product Management lead in a cross-functional Product Trio (Product Management, Design, Engineering), dedicated to 2–3 development teams.
- Collaborate across the organization (Marketing, Sales, Client Success, Finance, Legal, Privacy) to understand constraints and deliver viable, valuable, and technically sound solutions.
- Leverage AI to enhance ideation, prioritization, and development workflows where appropriate.
- Define clear product strategies with measurable North Star Metrics and goals, and break them down into Initiatives, Epics, and Stories using SMG’s Product Operating Model.
- Write clear, technically-informed requirements that accelerate delivery and reduce ambiguity.
- Build and maintain domain roadmaps, championing alignment between technical capabilities, user value, and business outcomes.
- Define success metrics up front, validate solutions post-launch, and continuously improve based on insights.
- Develop and maintain product documentation and evangelize your product internally and externally.
- Serve as a mentor on product and technical depth, helping elevate the overall team capability.
You’re a strong match if you have:
- 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or data/AI-focused products.
- A strong technical foundation, including experience working with engineering teams to ship scalable software and/or AI-powered features.
- Curiosity and experience with generative AI, ML, or automation tools—especially in the context of product development or customer experience.
- Excellent communication skills for aligning stakeholders, translating complex systems into simple user-centric solutions, and influencing without authority.
- Proven ability to manage a product lifecycle end to end: strategy, development, launch, and iteration.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
