Job description
Sr Product Manager, Care Delivery
Virta Health is on a mission to reverse Type 2 diabetes and obesity. Current treatment approaches aren’t working—over half of US adults have either type 2 diabetes or obesity. Virta is changing this by helping people reverse type 2 diabetes and obesity through innovations in technology, personalized nutrition, and virtual care delivery reinvented from the ground up. We have raised over $350 million from top-tier investors, and partner with the largest health plans, employers, and government organizations to help their employees and members restore their health and live diabetes-free. Join us on our mission to reverse diabetes and obesity in 1B!
We’re reinventing chronic care from the ground up—and to do that, we need to fundamentally rethink how care is delivered. The Senior Product Manager, Care Delivery will lead efforts to design and scale the workflows, tooling, and systems that empower Virta’s care teams to deliver high-quality care—efficiently and at scale. This isn’t about tweaking screens or automating tasks; it’s about redesigning the care model. You’ll partner deeply with clinicians, coaches, and cross-functional teams to reimagine how care is orchestrated across people, platforms, and data.
This role is part of our newly unified Client & Care Group, which connects Virta’s clients to our care operations—ensuring that the outcomes we promise to clients are delivered through scalable, systematized care delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead product strategy and roadmap for care team workflows and operational tooling, driving efficiency, quality, and capacity at scale.
Co-create solutions with clinical stakeholders—mapping workflows, identifying pain points, and translating needs into productized, scalable systems.
Redesign intervention delivery: who does what, when, and how across our care model, with a focus on cost, impact, and member experience.
Launch experiments (A/B tests, stepped wedge designs) to validate and iterate on new workflows and care models.
Collaborate with Engineering, Data, Design, and Clinical Ops to build tools that reduce manual work, improve outcomes, and unlock gross margin improvements.
Champion service design thinking to connect care delivery with member and client experience.
Establish and track metrics related to clinical capacity, coach productivity, intervention efficiency, and care model effectiveness.
You’ll be great for this role if you:
Have 5+ years of experience in product management or equivalent experience in healthcare delivery innovation, clinical ops, or healthcare technology.
Have experience with service design, complex workflows, or care model redesign.
Know how to build for systems—not just features—and have comfort designing across human and software boundaries.
Are a strong collaborator with clinicians, operators, and engineers alike.
Are excited to drive measurable improvements in gross margin, coach capacity, and member outcomes through workflow and systems innovation.
Have a bias toward iteration and experimentation, with experience running lean pilots or A/B tests in complex environments.
Experience working with AI products to deliver care and efficiency.
Values-driven culture
Virta’s company values drive our culture, so you’ll do well if:
You put people first and take care of yourself, your peers, and our patients equally
You have a strong sense of ownership and take initiative while empowering others to do the same
You prioritize positive impact over busy work
You have no ego and understand that everyone has something to bring to the table regardless of experience
You appreciate transparency and promote trust and empowerment through open access of information
You are evidence-based and prioritize data and science over seniority or dogma
You take risks and rapidly iterate
