A Senior Software Architect provides strategic oversight and ensures architectural alignment across the organization. They design enterprise-level solutions that span multiple platforms and systems, aligning technology with business goals. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders, managing risks, and ensuring long-term scalability and efficiency.

In addition to the specific responsibilities outlined above, employees may be required to perform other such duties as assigned by the Company. This ensures operational flexibility and allows the Company to meet evolving business needs.

Technical Requirements:

  • Salesforce Expertise: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Einstein Chatbot, Communities, Analytics Studio, Data Cloud, Agentforce
  • Experience with Salesforce Lightning Framework, Apex, SOQL, and Visualforce
  • Proven track record implementing complex Salesforce solutions and integrations

Architecture & Integration:

  • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-scale API architectures
  • Expertise in integration patterns (REST, Event-Driven Architecture)
  • Knowledge of middleware solutions and ETL tools
  • Proficiency in database design principles

Development & Tools:

  • Preferred strong programming skills in APEX, SQL
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines

Leadership & Soft Skills:

  • Proven ability to lead and mentor technical teams
  • Excellence in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills
  • Experience in Agile methodologies and project management
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and maintain technical architecture standards and best practices
  • Lead solution design for complex enterprise initiatives
  • Provide technical oversight and guidance across multiple projects
  • Conduct architecture reviews and provide recommendations

Strategy & Innovation:

  • Drive technical innovation and modernization efforts
  • Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations
  • Develop roadmaps for technical debt reduction
  • Ensure alignment between business strategy and technical solutions

Collaboration & Communication:

  • Partner with product owners and business stakeholders
  • Mentor junior architects and developers
  • Lead architecture review boards
  • Present technical strategies to executive leadership

Working Hours:

  • May require some travel for stakeholder meetings or conferences
  • On-call availability for critical system issues

THE STATS

What we’re looking for in our next teammate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field required
  • Master’s degree preferred in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Technology
  • 6–8 years of progressive software development experience, with increasing levels of architectural responsibility
  • Minimum 4+ years of hands-on Salesforce development and architecture experience, including Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, and Salesforce integrations
  • Experience with Salesforce DX, DevOps pipelines, and source control (e.g., Git, Copado)
  • Familiarity with API design and integration patterns, including REST, Pub/Sub, middleware (e.g., Segment), and external system interoperability
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise software architecture, design patterns, scalability, and security principles
  • Ability to produce clear technical design documentation, architecture diagrams, and solution specs for engineering teams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer II, Application Architect, Integration Architect) strongly preferred
  • Occasional weekend work may be required during critical deployments or infrastructure upgrades

The applicable salary range for this position is $138,000 - $173,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
