LastPass is looking for a Senior Software Developer (React):
As a Senior Software Developer (React) in the End User Experience cluster, you will play a key role in developing and enhancing the LastPass web application for end users. Your primary focus will be on delivering robust software solutions that ensure an exceptional experience for both consumer and Vault users.

Who will you work with?
Please note: While this position is remote, we prefer candidates who can work EST or CST hours to ensure alignment with business needs.
You’ll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality features and improvements to the LastPass product:
- Software Developers and Architects: Partner to design, implement, and maintain new product features, resolve bugs, and enhance the development environment.
- SDETs (Software Development Engineers in Test) and QA Engineers: Work together to ensure all implementations meet LastPass’s rigorous quality standards.
- Product Managers: Align on product requirements and priorities to ensure development efforts are focused and impactful.
- Release Managers: Coordinate to guarantee timely releases with the correct scope and stability.
You will report directly to your team’s Engineering Manager, who will support your growth by helping you strengthen your engineering skills and achieve your career goals.
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
- Implement new featuresthat enhance the user experience for LastPass consumers.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and supportcomplex internal and customer-facing issues to ensure stability and performance.
- Contribute to the development environment, helping to maintain and improve tools, workflows, and infrastructure.
- Collaborate within a Cross-Functional Team (XFT), actively proposing and implementing process and workflow enhancements to boost team efficiency and effectiveness.
What does it take to work at LastPass?
- Professional experience in a commercial software product domain, preferably in SaaS.
- Frontend development expertiseusing HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly React and Redux.
- Solid understanding of web infrastructure, including HTTP and RESTful APIs.
- Strong grasp of object-oriented programming (OOP), SOLID principles, and Clean Code practices.
- Commitment to security best practicesand maintaining secure development standards.
- Basic familiarity with Dockerand web security concepts.
- Experience working with design systemsto ensure consistency and scalability.
- Proficiency in writing unit and end-to-end (E2E) teststo ensure code reliability.
- Ability to implement, test, debug, and integrate complex codebaseseffectively.
- Experience with development toolssuch as Git, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and Jira.
- Strong problem-solving skillsand the ability to design scalable software solutions.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborative mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude.
It’s great, but not required:
- Advanced Redux middlewareknowledge, such as redux-saga or redux-observable.
- Experience with distributed systems, including designing and maintaining scalable architectures.
- Proficiency in PHPfor developing and maintaining web applications.
- Background in building secure software systemsthat meet the highest industry security standards.
- Familiarity with modern development tools and practicesrelated to containerization and cloud-native applications.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (e.g., EC2, container services, Elasticsearch).
- Hands-on experience developing browser extensions, with a focus on performance, security, and usability.
