What you’ll be doing:

  • Contribute to designing, building, evaluating, shipping, and improving Sword’s products through hands-on GenAI implementation and integration;
  • Develop and maintain applications and services that leverage large language models, vector databases, and other generative AI technologies;
  • Implement prompt engineering strategies, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems, and other GenAI patterns to solve real business problems;
  • Work alongside the Product Managers, ML Engineers, Backend Engineers and Frontend Engineers to define and implement AI-powered features for internal and external users.

What you need to have:

  • 3+ years of professional experience in software engineering and system design;
  • Strong programming skills (especially in OOP) with Python and familiarity with modern software development practices;
  • Experience implementing and deploying production-grade applications and services;
  • Familiarity with API integration, especially with AI/ML models or services;
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) or open-source models;
  • Ability to learn quickly and dive deep into new technologies and paradigms;
  • Ability to communicate concepts clearly and interface with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Ability to prioritize and solve issues according to the team’s direction and goals.

What we would love to see:

  • Experience implementing vector databases and similarity search for RAG applications;
  • Experience building data processing pipelines or ETL workflows;
  • Knowledge of prompt engineering patterns and best practices;
  • Interest in healthcare technology and improving patient outcomes through innovation.

Base: €27,907 - €46,512

Variable: €2,093 - €3,488

Net equity value per year: €14,086

These compensation bands are just the starting point. Once someone joins and proves they’re outlier talent, we adjust quickly to ensure their compensation aligns with their impact.

Our job titles may span more than one career level. Actual pay is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, location, market demand, and other factors. Compensation details listed in this posting reflect the base salary and any potential variable, bonus or sales incentives, and the Company’s estimation of the value of private company stock options, if applicable. The pay range is subject to change, future value of company stock options is not guaranteed, and compensation may be modified in the future.
