This is an opportunity for you to make a significant difference on a massive scale as you work alongside 1000+ (and growing!) talented colleagues, spanning three continents. Your charge? To help us build a pain-free world, powered by AI, enhanced by people — accessible to all.

We are seeking an experienced Health Economics Sr. Analyst to independently manage comprehensive health-economic analyses. This role involves transforming complex medical claims data into strategic insights, directly impacting Sword Health’s growth, program validation, and client retention through data-driven economic assessments and strategic decisions.

Team: The Health Economics team sits within our Commercial department and is integral to Sword Health’s success, responsible for driving data-informed strategies, validating clinical and economic outcomes, and collaborating cross-functionally to support strategic business initiatives and client engagements.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Independently manage analyses of medical claims data (integration, aggregation, cleansing, formatting, joining datasets);
  • Utilize advanced statistical methods and analytical software (Python, R, BigQuery) to validate program results, assess statistical validity, and measure economic impacts;
  • Develop actionable strategic recommendations from analytical insights to guide business decisions and client strategies;
  • Clearly communicate complex findings to internal stakeholders and external clients through presentations, reports, and visualizations;
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Client Strategy, Sales, and Product, to integrate economic insights into commercial narratives and client solutions.

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Economics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, Public Health, or related quantitative fields;
  • Minimum 4-6 years of relevant experience specifically in medical claims-based economic impact modeling and statistical validation;
  • Demonstrated expertise managing and manipulating large-scale medical claims datasets utilizing Python, R, SQL, or BigQuery;
  • Strong statistical foundation, including experience with covariate analysis, statistical validity assessments, and advanced analytical methods;
  • Proven track record independently managing analyses from data integration and cleaning through to strategic insight generation;
  • Exceptional communication skills for clearly presenting technical data insights to non-technical stakeholders;
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced startup environment, demonstrating flexibility, autonomy, and strategic thinking.

What we would love to see:

  • Prior experience in digital health, healthcare startups, or consulting environments focused on health-economic modeling;

  • Client-facing experience presenting findings and strategic recommendations directly to clients;

  • Familiarity with musculoskeletal (MSK) conditions or digital therapeutics market dynamics.

  • A stimulating, fast-paced environment with lots of room for creativity;

  • A bright future at a promising high-tech startup company;

  • Career development and growth, with a competitive salary;

  • The opportunity to work with a talented team and to add real value to an innovative solution with the potential to change the future of healthcare;

  • A flexible environment where you can control your hours (remotely) with unlimited vacation;

  • Access to our health and well-being program (digital therapist sessions);

  • Remote or Hybrid work policy.
