Overview
As the Analyst, Financial Bookkeeping, you’ll play a key role in maintaining the integrity of our financial records and supporting smooth financial operations across the organization. You’ll be the main point of contact for Finance-related process questions, acting as a liaison between business partners, Accounting, and Purchasing. Your work ensures clean data, timely reporting, and audit-ready documentation. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on structure, is detail-oriented, and enjoys supporting a diverse set of stakeholders with financial operations.
This role will play a key part in supporting our Market Finance teams—those closest to the customer—including Sales, Aftersales, Marketing, Communications, and Strategy. Through your partnership, these teams can rely on clean, accurate financials to make decisions that drive customer impact.
What you’ll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pick-up truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
ERP Data Integrity
- Ensure accuracy in general ledger account and cost center coding across transactions.
- Monitor financial data and flag inconsistencies or misclassifications.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of key accounts and maintain supporting documentation.
Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with Accounting to resolve coding issues and ensure clean books at month-end.
- Support FP&A by providing historical data context and explaining variances in actuals.
- Act as the liaison between business teams, Purchasing, and Accounting to ensure requests and payments are submitted with the correct information and routed appropriately.
- Proactively monitor contract timelines and notify relevant teams of expirations or renewal needs.
Journal Entry Preparation & Month-End Close
- Prepare journal entries for reclasses and accruals based on spending patterns and forecasted needs.
- Support the month-end close process by investigating and correcting cost center or GL errors.
- Maintain organized audit trails for all adjustments and reconciliations.
Administrative and Operational Support
- Own the intake and tracking of spend requests: review for completeness, correct coding, and alignment with Finance expectations.
- Coordinate audit support documentation for both internal and external audits.
- Maintain Finance documentation, intranet resources, and shared folders to ensure business users have access to the latest processes and templates.
- Provide administrative support for other recurring Finance processes as needed.
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based remotely within the United States. Residing in New York City: This role is not eligible for remote work in New York City.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the company from time to time.

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
- 2+ years in a financial operations, GL accounting, or bookkeeping role.
- Prior experience in a corporate finance or accounting team preferred.
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel.
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP, NetSuite, or similar.
Interpersonal & Professional Skills
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent attention to detail and curiosity to investigate discrepancies.
- Organized, self-motivated, and capable of meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A service-oriented mindset with clear, patient, and proactive communication.
- Familiarity with purchase order and payment workflows; ability to coordinate with multiple departments.

Pay Transparency
This is a full-time, exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidate’s skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range = $95,000.00 - $115,000.00
Internal leveling code: IC9
