About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Finance team. In this role, you will play a key role in managing our accounts payable (AP) and collections processes, ensuring timely payments to vendors and efficient collection of customer receivables. You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and communicating with vendors and customers.
We are looking for a Staff Accountant who has in-depth knowledge of GAAP principles, proficiency in accounting systems, and strives for operational excellence. We are looking for someone with a strong motivation to contribute to the achievement of an efficient monthly, quarterly, annual close, and financial reporting process. We also want someone who is detail-oriented and possesses the ability to deliver results under deadlines as well as work effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment.
What You’ll Do:
●Accounts Payable:
○Manage vendor onboarding
○You will be the primary interface between vendors and Consensus for AP operations
○Process vendor invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding and approvals.
○Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records.
○Manage and optimize the payment process to ensure timely payments.
○Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and payments.
○Prepare and process payments electronically.
○Review and process all employee expense reports and reimbursements.
●Invoicing and Accounts Receivable:
○Manage customer onboarding into ERP
○Process new bookings and customer renewals from CSM system into accounting system via integration, confirming proper details are recorded in both systems per the executed agreements
○Create customer invoices according to the terms and conditions of the current active agreements
○Manage assigned customer accounts and monitor payment activity.
○Process customer payments daily and post payment activity for the team
○Administer professional and courteous collection emails to past-due assigned accounts.
○Develop and implement collection strategies to maximize recoveries.
○Research and resolve customer disputes regarding invoices and payments.
○Track and report on AR performance metrics weekly.
●Accounting:
○Match all banking and credit card activity electronically into the accounting system.
○Responsible for initial data hygiene - having an intimate knowledge of vendors and expense coding
○Monthly close involvement, including supporting schedule preparation
○Pre-reconcile bank statements and AP ledgers weekly.
○Perform other accounting tasks as assigned, such as general ledger entries and additional financial close assistance.
What We’re Looking For:
●Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
●SaaS experience a plus
●At least 1-2 years of accounting experience with strong foundation in accounting principles, accrual accounting, GAAP standards and tech-forward accounting techniques
●Previous experience in financial close responsibilities
●Excellent proficiency in Excel
●Experience with other systems integration with NetSuite
●Proven experience thriving in a fast-paced environment
●Strong time management and multitasking skills
●Attention to detail and accuracy
●Problem solving tendencies, analytical skills, and a forward thinking mindset

$50,000 - $55,000 a year
Compensation is anticipated to be between $50,000 - $55,000 per year. Eligible employees may also receive incentive/commission/annual bonus pay based on individual and/or company performance. Compensation may vary based on factors such as, but not limited to, individual skills, experience, training, education/certifications, geographic location, internal equity, and local market conditions.
