Job description
We’re on the lookout for a driven, relationship-focused Team Lead to help grow our business with existing retail and wholesale partners, including Vitamin Shoppe, Harmons, Associated Food Stores, HEB, Fresh Thyme, Sprouts, KeHE, UNFI, and more.
In this role, you’ll lead a small but mighty sales team, strengthen key customer relationships, and work cross-functionally to expand our shelf presence and deliver on our retail strategy. You’ll need to bring a sharp analytical mind, a love of grocery, and the ability to turn data into action. You’ll also play a big part in developing account plans that support both our goals and our partners’ success. This role reports directly to our Chief Revenue Officer.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of grocery sales professionals
- Manage and grow current retail + wholesale accounts through strong partnerships, new item introductions, and strategic promotional planning
- Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at retail and distributor partners
- Use data to tell compelling stories and uncover growth opportunities
- Deliver clear updates on account progress, wins, and challenges to internal teams
- Build strong execution plans for new distribution, promotions, and innovation launches
- Own the forecast by account across core, seasonal, and new items
- Create and deliver compelling presentations for business reviews and sales meetings
- Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Operations, and Finance to bring plans to life
Qualifications & Skills
- A minimum 5-8 years of experience in CPG sales, preferably with a mix of retail and distributor management in the protein, beverage, or wellness category
- 5+ years of experience leading and developing people
- Experience working with at least some of our current partners: Vitamin Shoppe, Harmons, UNFI, KeHE, etc.
- Strong understanding of category management, syndicated data (SPINS), and how to apply it to retail growth
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships and execute plans with excellence
- A self-starter mindset - you know how to prioritize and drive results without being micromanaged
- Clear, confident communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Flexibility to travel up to 25% of the time
- Based in a U.S. city with access to a major airport
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- A passion for health, high standards, and getting things done the right way
Salary: $130,000-150,000 annually
Location: Remote or Hybrid (if in the SLC area)
