Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Implementation Specialist (level 1) who is responsible for providing technical and workflow implementation services for Radiology Healthcare IT solutions. The role will require a range of technical services, including but not limited to, system integration, system configuration, workflow analysis and design, testing and troubleshooting system setups and facilitation and support of system go-lives. Acting as a key customer-facing representative, the Technical Implementation Specialist will ensure that Intelerad solutions are configured, tested, and operational to meet client needs and align with best practices. This role will work closely with Project Management and Applications and Workflow resource and involve collaboration with cross-functional teams, on-site client engagement, training delivery, documentation, troubleshooting, and proactive participation in change management and escalation processes. The goal is to ensure clients realise the full value of our solution at every stage of their journey.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients to assess needs, design HL7/Dicom workflows, and define system configurations that align with clinical and operational goals.
- Provide remote system administration and perform HL7 /Dicom integration configuration deployments and upgrades remotely for customers.
- Providing basic support and services to Implementation staff and external customers for HL7/DICOM integrations communications, and integrations workflow design, database changes or troubleshooting
- Validate solution operability including network connectivity and third-party integrations; troubleshoot and resolve technical and workflow issues both remotely and on-site.
- Working with Project Management to complete system integration and functionality checks
- Deliver training to end users and administrators and create supporting materials to facilitate successful adoption of new workflows and features.
- Guide clients through go-live and post-go-live phases, ensuring smooth transitions and optimal use of Intelerad solutions.
- Participate in technical discussions / calls and provide regular status updates with customers and third-party vendors.
- Document configurations, workflows, and architecture changes in collaboration with project managers.
- Participate in post-implementation reviews and share insights with internal teams to support continuous improvement.
- Provide workflow and product expertise to internal teams, including support, training, and specialist liaison functions.
- Travel if required within specified region to support on-site implementations and client engagement.
- Perform other duties as required to support the success of implementation projects and the wider business.
Qualifications
Employment Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Medical Imaging Sciences or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience in Healthcare or IT related roles
- Valid government-issued identification
- Ability to travel internationally if required
- Eligibility for security related clearance (where required)
- Understanding of HL7 /Dicom messaging standards and integration capabilities
- Proficiency with Linux command-line interface for system navigation, file management
Desired Competencies
- Knowledge of enterprise level Radiology Healthcare IT solutions
- In-depth understanding of radiology workflows, including modality, PACS, RIS, and clinical processes within imaging departments
- Strong troubleshooting skills across applications, hardware, operating systems, drivers and networking services.
- Basic knowledge of SQL databases (Sybase, PostgreSQL, MS SQL)
- Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and services
- Understanding of API calls and working with data formats such as JSON
- Experience training and mentoring others on radiology concepts
- Strong communication skills and ability to use creative thinking to problem solve complex technical and integration related issues
- Ability to communicate and build rapport with internal management and other company personnel
- Professional presentation and a self-motivated, proactive work ethic
Travel Requirements
This position requires up to 25% of travel, mainly throughout Oceania and occasionally on short notice.
