We’re looking for a strategic and forward thinker to join our team as an Operations Manager, supporting the Underwriting Operations department.
In this pivotal role, you will transform our approach to underwriting management. This role is perfect for an insurance expert who excels in operational thinking, is passionate about leveraging next-generation technological solutions, enhancing current processes, and fostering cross-functional collaboration among our Product, Claims, Underwriting, Analytics, and Systems teams. You will report to the Director of Operations in the centralized Customer Operations enablement team.
In this role you’ll:
Oversee the execution of intricate projects within Underwriting Operations and Claims, ensuring alignment with business goals and timely completion
Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including leadership and Product partners, driving strategic initiatives for operational excellence
Support comprehensive financial analysis and forecasting activities, contributing to the financial strategy of Underwriting Operations and Claims. Your insights will influence capacity and financial planning, significantly impacting the department’s financial health.
Identify and implement continuous process improvements by leveraging feedback, data, and industry best practices
Articulate complex ideas and project updates clearly and persuasively across f the organization
Provide leadership and mentorship to your team, fostering a culture of professional growth and high performance. Your guidance will help develop future leaders and contribute to the ongoing growth of the Underwriting and Customers Operations teams.
What you’ll need:
5+ years in a similar role, within the insurance industry or in tech
2+ years of experience in team management or leadership
Demonstrated success in project management, with a track record of leading complex, cross-functional projects to completion
Advanced data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret and leverage data to make informed decisions
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex issues and find actionable solutions
Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas effectively and influence stakeholders at all levels
Ability to work remotely

The starting base range for this position is between $100,000 and $120,000 per year. Base pay is one component of Lemonade’s total compensation package, which will also include equity in the form of RSUs, access to healthcare benefits, 401(k) plan with company match, robust PTO, parental leave, and more.
