Job description

Join our Talent Pipeline!

BP3 seeks to build a strong pipeline of skilled UX Designers to design enterprise business software applications that meet business owners’ and end-users’ needs. While immediate positions are not currently available, we’re preparing for rapid growth and will start hiring as soon as new clients come on board.

In this role, you will be working with a team of UX designers at one of BP3’s clients. You should be an analytical and creative UX designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems in an agile environment. You should possess the ability to gather and comprehend business requirements as well as technical limitations. You can effectively take data from user research and translate it into user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, mockups and prototypes.

A deep understanding of contemporary user-centered design methodologies, enterprise software, and working with complex experiences is a requirement. Success in the role requires an innovative mind, ownership mindset, and a passion for creating an exceptional user experience. Individuals in this role must be user-focused, analytical, highly creative, with strong verbal and written communication skills. A strong portfolio of successful UX Design projects is essential.

Being based in Portugal is a must-have, and you will be able to work remotely from within the EU. Occasional travel to customers’ sites may be required.

  • Work closely with clients to establish value, understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision. Our clients expect a “world-class user experience.”

  • Support Goals Workshops and other UX style activities with clients to turn ambiguous needs into clear direction, understand detailed requirements, create alignment, and generate buy-in.

  • Translate process maps, business requirements, technical constraints and user feedback into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences.

  • Work effectively in a team setting, including synthesizing abstract ideas into concrete design implications, and articulating design decisions back to client and team.

  • Serve as a customer advocate to ensure the highest level of usefulness, usability and customer satisfaction.

  • Design and deliver wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces.

  • Work closely with development and business teams, converting skeptics into UX advocates.

  • Authoritatively and intelligently iterate on designs, adjusting to technical requirements and incorporating usability improvements.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or related field.

  • 3 or more years of professional UX Design experience, including interaction design and information architecture work.

  • Consulting experience.

  • Experience designing complex, multi-layer desktop and web applications for enterprise users.

  • Strong portfolio of completed design projects with case studies showing your design process and contributions.

  • Experience working closely with Product Management/Product Owners to deliver valuable and usable applications.

  • Expertise in Figma or other standard UX software such as Sketch, InVision, Adobe XD and the like is a must.

  • Experience creating or applying visual design and familiarity with tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. Basic HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and systems architecture skills are a plus.

  • Experience in applying UX design best practices.

  • Experience working on Agile teams and the ability to evangelize Agile UX to team members.

  • Experience with requirements analysis and story breakdown.

  • Experience with design systems.

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and clients.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills as well as handling multiple projects at the same time.

  • Strong attention to detail.

Ideal Candidate

  • You take your work seriously, but not yourself.
  • You’re easy to get along with and work well as part of a team.
  • You choose outcomes over ego.
  • You take and provide constructive criticism to achieve the best results.
  • You take a pragmatic, iterative approach to your work and enjoy solving problems.

Nice-to-Haves

  • Experience with sales of design services

  • Experience designing for accessibility

  • Remote work with flexible working hours;

  • 26 (22 + 4) annual leave days;

  • Annual training budget that includes the development of technical and personal skills;

  • Opportunity to work in a challenging environment with dynamic teams and innovative projects;

  • Health insurance since the first day of employment (extensive to family members);

  • A team that genuinely cares about you, not just the work you do!
