Virtual Classroom Assistant (part-time contract)

The Role:
We are seeking a proactive, tech-savvy, and organized Virtual Classroom Assistant (part-time, contract) to support online instructors and enhance the learning experience for students. The ideal candidate is dependable, communicates effectively, and is comfortable navigating various educational technologies. You will play a key role in managing classroom logistics, supporting student engagement, and ensuring smooth daily operations in a remote learning environment.
Your role is to create an energetic, supportive, and practical learning environment so that learners walk away with new insights and action items that they will be able to implement in their professional careers. We offer courses worldwide and are specifically looking for individuals based on one of the following countries: Belgium, Czechia, Japan, Slovakia, or Spain
Responsibilities:
- Assist instructors during live virtual classes by monitoring chat, managing breakout rooms, and supporting technical needs.
- Take attendance, track participation, and document classroom activities.
- Provide real-time support to participants experiencing technical difficulties or requiring clarification.
- Prepare and distribute digital learning materials and assignments.
- Manage and update online learning platforms (e.g., Google Drive, Zoom, Percipio).
- Support the administration of online assessments and quizzes.
- Support students through highly interactive teaching methods.
Skills You Bring:
You are passionate about AI, data science, and data literacy and believe in making high-quality, intuitive education. You want to help students achieve their objectives and help them solve the challenges that they face.
Minimum qualifications we’re looking for are:
- At least 2+ years of professional experience working in a data related field.
- Previous experience in education, customer service, or administrative roles is a plus.
- Experience with virtual learning environments or learning management systems (e.g., Zoom, Percipio).
- Bilingual or multilingual proficiency in the language where the course is being taught.
- Strong digital literacy and familiarity with online communication platforms.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and troubleshoot minor technical issues.
- Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional remote workspace.
Compensation:
$40 USD per hour
