Verve is seeking a business leader to be responsible for establishing contractual and business relationships with the world’s leading agency trade desks. This is a newly created role within a new department at Verve Group, reporting directly to the General Manager. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to shape the direction of the department, with significant potential for growth and the possibility of building and managing a team under their leadership.
What You Will Do
Shape the “Go to Market” plan in conjunction with Verve leadership to establish Verve as a leading agency supply, SSP, and PMP partner
Help establish new collaborative global business relationships between key decision-makers across the global agency roster helping to develop strategic relationships, from holding company-level to individual agencies, ensuring we deliver optimal value to agencies
Identify, qualify, pitch, and close new business with agencies in line with our core strengths & capabilities, all while setting the right expectations on timelines and performance
Manage an entire sales cycle from inception to closure to up-sell including prospecting, discovery, evaluation, proposal, justification, close, and onboarding with Ad Ops & Account Management
Foster agency innovation at Verve; this role will play a key role in arming them with the knowledge and tools to develop client-winning strategies that drive top and bottom-line growth for Verve
Collaborate with other cross-functional team members in Ad Ops, Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing; create and foster innovative solutions with Global counterparts, BD, and CS to demonstrate how TTD’s products can be leveraged globally to connect with consumers and meet business objectives
Establish Verve as a leading marketplace both in scale and quality with agency customers
Prepare pitch materials as needed, both independently and within existing support processes
Facilitate and help manage responses to Advertiser’s multi-market requests for proposals
Ensure that agencies’ voices, opinions, ideas, and feedback are being conveyed to Verve Marketing and Product Development teams
Requirements
What You Will Bring
10+ years relevant experience in AdTech, ideally with strong programmatic experience and/or background in CTV. Experience working with global teams is a plus
A proactive, hunter approach, capable of working independently while collaborating to build new business
Demonstrated achievement in a goal-oriented, highly accountable sales environment
Enthusiasm for industry trends, relationship building, and gaining traction with thought leaders
Exceptional skills in conveying complex information clearly and concisely through presentations and communication
Proven ability to develop lasting relationships with key decision-makers at large media and advertising agencies
Demonstrated background in business development, client service, and solution-based selling from a leading SSP, DSP, Exchange, Agency, or Marketplace
Advanced knowledge of the Programmatic landscape (supply and demand)
Strong pre-existing relationships with executives and decision-makers at major holding companies are required
Ability to manage ambiguity in a changing ecosystem and adapt positioning and messaging to market needs
Excellent communication skills and a consultative style that focuses on developing long-term customer relationships
Willingness to travel 25% of the time
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience (MBA or Graduate Degree a plus)

The annual on-target-earning (OTE) salary range for this position is USD 375k-425K. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
