About Us

Williamsburg Learning (WL) is an educational services provider that provides curriculum, mentors, and courses for Williamsburg Academy Private School, Williamsburg Academy of Colorado, Leadership Academy of Utah, and other partner schools. Our mission is to prepare promising students for meaningful lives as principled leaders.

Our core values guide everything we do. If these resonate with you—and the role feels like a natural fit—we’d love to hear from you!

Growth: We seek to never stop growing—personally and professionally.

Right Action: We strive to do the right thing for colleagues and customers at all times.

Culture of Belonging: We’re real and authentic, and we try to create a safe space for ourselves and others.

About the Position

As the Web & Marketing Content Designer, you’ll help shape the digital face of our schools. Through polished websites, compelling visuals, and branded content, you’ll help create great online experiences for prospective and current families in our program.

In this role, you’ll work alongside a creative, high-performing marketing team that loves great design, obsesses over details, and shares stories that resonate with a wide range of audiences. If you’re looking for a role where your skills matter and your creativity sparks change, this just might be it!

Your core focus in this role will be designing and building user-friendly websites and branded digital content that support our marketing goals and reflect our brand voice and values. Specifically, you’ll:

• Design and build modern, responsive websites within HubSpot and WordPress—no complex coding required

• Create on-brand layouts, graphics, and digital assets for web and marketing campaigns using tools like Canva and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

• Craft or refine clear, compelling copy that aligns with our brand, engages users, and supports conversions

• Ensure visual and brand consistency across fonts, colors, layouts, and media assets

• Apply SEO and accessibility best practices to content and visuals (e.g., alt text, meta tags, proper headings, optimized images)

• Maintain and update CMS content, themes, and plugins to keep sites fast, secure, and functional

• Proactively monitor and troubleshoot site issues like broken links, slow load times, and content errors

Additionally, you may have the opportunity to serve as a Substitute or Guide for our in-person student Adventures program on Fridays during the school year.

Note: Applications must include a cover letter explaining why you + this role = a match made in heaven. Bonus points if you throw in a portfolio—we love visuals!

Non-Essential Duties

Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Web Design & Development, Graphic Design, Digital Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of experience in web or visual design, content management, or digital marketing
  • Experience with CMS platforms (especially HubSpot and/or WordPress)
  • Solid design skills and a portfolio that shows them
  • Comfort with content writing and brand voice
  • Basic HTML and CSS
  • Experience with SEO, UX, mobile-first, and accessibility principles
  • Familiarity with Canva and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong attention to detail and content accuracy
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

You’ll Thrive in this Role if You…

  • You have a strong sense of design and user flow—with the ability to think like a marketer and act like a designer
  • You love turning content into clean, clear, and conversion-friendly digital assets
  • You take initiative, stay organized, and own your creative process from start to finish
  • You communicate clearly and effectively while collaborating in a remote team environment
  • You embrace feedback, continuous growth, and maximize your work time with minimal oversight

Required Equipment

  • Computer with webcam, no older than two years
  • Headset with echo-canceling mic
  • High-speed internet (we recommend 5 Mbps or more)

Compensation and Schedule

  • Compensation: $70,000 annual salary
  • Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday
  • Complete 75% or more of your work during regular business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM MT)
  • Attend 2-3 weekly team meetings via Zoom
  • Attend quarterly all-day department-wide meetings via Zoom
  • Provide occasional support for in-person Adventures (as needed)
  • Start Date: ASAP

What We Offer

  • Paid time off (PTO)
  • Paid health benefits
  • 401k with up to 4% company match
