About the Role:
To achieve our ambitious goals, we’re looking for a curious, energetic, and craft-caring Visual Designer to join our Growth Design team. Your designs will reach millions of people daily: you’ll create graphic assets that enhance our customers’ full end-to-end experience, from the moment they discover us through an SEO page or web page, to in-product onboarding, and all the way to upgrading or continuously engaging with us. You’ll collaborate with a fun, diverse team of talented growth experts, all passionate about user experimentation and innovative ways to optimize better and grow our product.
You’ll create visual assets for a variety of touchpoints, including websites, in-product onboarding experiences, lifecycle marketing moments, paywalls and preview experiences, new feature moments, and personalization surfaces. educational and inspiring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and execution of visual assets for web and mobile product experiences, product experiments, and growth design materials.
- Develop and refine processes for intake, partnership, and visual asset production, and partner with Design Operations to socialize and scale systems
- Collaborate with product managers, developers, marketers, and other stakeholders to deliver cohesive and impactful design solutions, and adovicate for high quality design standards
- Partner closely with product and content designers, motivating a culture of creativity, graphic excellence and visual support
- Incorporate data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback to iterate on and improve designs
- Create moments of user delight and personality. Storyboard and imagine how static and motion elements enhance user engagement
- Partner with the Design Foundations and Brand Creative teams to develop, maintain, and advocate for design systems, style guides, and brand standards at the individual product and company level
- Ensure visual consistency and brand alignment across user touchpoints
- Share visual insights from growth experiments to design partner teams for collective knowledge building
- Stay up to date with industry trends, tools, and best practices to drive innovation and best-in-class craft
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of professional experience as a visual designer or in a similar design role
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and modern design tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a breadth of visual design projects, graphic design production, visual systems, communication design, and creative problem-solving
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience with motion graphics or product animation
- Curiosity and hunger to learn and deepen product motion skills
- Familiarity with UX/UI principles and web accessibility standards
- Experience working in cross-functional and agile teams
Details
Duration: 6 months
Compensation: $90 - $110 / hour
Commitment: 40 hours per week
Location:
Hubs: San Francisco, Seattle, New York, or Vancouver
Not strictly required to be in a hub, but preferred for conversion potential
New York preferred (allows toggling between Berlin and SF offices)
