ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Senior Product Designer at Samsara, you will provide critical design expertise and execution for strategic initiatives, delivering end-to-end experiences that impact customers and support key business objectives. You’ll own design for a specific product area — with current focus on AI and agentic workflows and/or design systems supporting a major rebrand.
You’ll collaborate closely with Product and Engineering, work directly with customers, and be expected to influence strategy and ship well-crafted designs that make operations more efficient, safe, and sustainable.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the UX for a product area or surface, shipping high-impact designs that unlock significant customer and business value
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering on strategy, planning, and execution
- Work directly with customers to understand their needs, validate designs, and inform strategy
- Provide expertise and knowledge transfer to Samsara’s internal design team
- Deliver all agreed-upon project deliverables on time and to spec
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of product design experience designing UX/UI for web and mobile applications
- Strong interaction and visual design skills
- Portfolio and/or case studies showcasing design craft and ability to solve user problems with quantified impact — required to be considered
- Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make)
- Experience prototyping in real codebases; comfort working in GitHub
- Proven experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills

CONTRACT DETAILS
Duration: 6 months (with conversion potential if based in a country where Samsara has legal entities)
Hours: 40 hrs/week, no overtime
Location: Fully remote
Rate: $90-$110/hr
Start: ASAP
WORK LOCATION & ELIGIBILITY
This is a fully remote contract role. Candidates must be based in a country where Samsara has an established legal entity.
