Job Description
Responsibilities
- Large-Scale Virtualization Operations: Operate and support a complex virtualized infrastructure of approximately 800 virtual appliances, ensuring stability, scalability, and continuous service availability.
- High-Availability Infrastructure Management: Manage and optimize VMware vSphere and/or Microsoft Hyper-V environments, ensuring high performance, resilience, and continuous availability for business-critical systems.
- Infrastructure Lifecycle Administration: Oversee daily infrastructure operations, including provisioning, configuration, patching, and lifecycle management of virtual machines within enterprise environments.
- Proactive Monitoring & Issue Resolution: Continuously monitor system health and proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve infrastructure, system, and network-related issues to minimize service disruption.
- Advanced Network & System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex incidents related to DNS, IP addressing, proxy configurations, firewall connectivity, and overall network communication flows.
- Linux Systems Support & Operational Compliance: Provide support for Linux-based systems using command-line tools, collaborate with internal teams and vendors, contribute to operational documentation and standard procedures, and ensure adherence to security, availability, and operational standards.
Qualifications
Must have
5+ years of experience in infrastructure operations or systems engineering, supporting large-scale virtualized environments.
Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies, such as VMware vSphere and/or Hyper-V.
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including DNS, IP addressing, proxies, and firewall concepts.
Hands-on experience with Linux operating systems and confident use of the command-line interface.
Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot system, virtualization, and network issues in production environments.
Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions is an advantage.
Familiarity with Docker and containerized environments is desirable.
Experience with SailPoint ISC Virtual Appliances is a strong plus, but not mandatory.
Structured, reliable, and service-oriented working style.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Comfortable working in operational environments with high availability and reliability requirements
Strong proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
