Job Description
Our client operates within the food manufacturing and direct distribution sector, with a strong specialization in frozen and ice products. The company’s core business model focuses on delivering these products directly to end consumers across multiple European countries, ensuring a seamless and efficient distribution process.
Responsibilities
- Design scalable solutions: Develop and maintain .NET-based backend applications and microservices with a focus on performance and reliability.
- Deliver high-quality code: Implement applications following best practices in clean code, testing, and performance optimization.
- Support modern deployment practices: Work closely with DevOps to containerize and deploy applications and integrate CI/CD pipelines.
- Leverage event-driven architecture: Use events to build robust, asynchronous systems that support scalability and decoupled services.
- Optimize data interactions: Design and maintain efficient relational database integrations that ensure data integrity and system responsiveness.
- Contribute to strong engineering standards: Engage in architectural discussions, perform code reviews, and promote best practices.
- Mentor and grow the team: Provide guidance to junior/mid developers and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Must have:
- 5 years+ hands-on experience with .NET Framework (C# and libraries)
- Strong understanding of clean code practices and SOLID principles
- Strong experience with a cloud platform (Azure preferred, but AWS or GCP are also acceptable)
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of solutions, from requirements through production and follow-up
- Ability to understand business and data context and reason about impact and trade-offs, not just implement technical tasks
- Comfortable contributing to technical discussions, asking the right questions, and collaborating effectively with non-technical stakeholders
- Strong integration and interface development skills
- German as a main communication language
Nice to have:
- Experience with one or more of the following: AVD, File Services, Data File Transfer, ComPC, BizTalk, Gupta
- Experience working with grown / legacy systems
- Knowledge of security best practices in backend development
