Key Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and server roles.
- Perform server installations, upgrades, patching, and health monitoring.
- Troubleshoot system issues and provide Level 2⁄3 support for infrastructure-related incidents.
SQL Server Administration
- Administer SQL Server databases across development, testing, and production environments.
- Perform backups, restores, performance tuning, and query optimization.
- Monitor database health, capacity, and availability.
- Collaborate with development teams to support SQL-related application requirements.
Proxy Server Administration
- Configure and manage Proxy servers (e.g., FortiProxy, Squid, Blue Coat, or similar).
- Monitor and control internet access policies, web filtering, and traffic routing.
- Ensure secure and optimized web gateway performance.
- Troubleshoot proxy connectivity, security policies, and authentication issues.
ITIL-Based Service Management
- Apply ITIL best practices for incident, problem, change, and service request management.
- Document processes, SOPs, and service workflows.
- Ensure infrastructure operations meet SLAs and compliance standards.
- Participate in audits, risk assessments, and service improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Certifications
- MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) – Required
- ITIL Expert Certification – Strongly preferred
- SQL Server knowledge/certification – Required
- Proxy Expert or hands-on proxy administration experience – Required
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field
Technical Skills
Strong knowledge of Windows Server administration and Microsoft ecosystem
Hands-on experience with SQL Server backups, tuning, and maintenance
Experience managing and configuring enterprise Proxy solutions
Understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewall rules)
Experience with virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware)
Familiarity with monitoring tools and SIEM systems
Scripting knowledge (PowerShell is a plus)
