About Akuo
We are a French company that builds and operates electricity production units from renewable resources, including solar, wind, and storage. We handle everything from studies and design to financing, construction, and operation of power plants. We operate internationally, including in Europe and America. Since 2009, we’ve developed agrivoltaism projects, combining solar energy production with agriculture to support farmers. We currently operate or are building 2.1 GW of power, with a project pipeline over 10 GW. Our projects include the 181 MW Santas solar plant in Monforte, Portugal, and the 22 MW O’MEGA1 floating solar plant in Piolenc, France, which we expanded in 2022. In Boulouparis, New Caledonia, we’re building a 200 MWh electricity storage plant. It’s designed to deliver 50 MW for three hours daily when it launches in 2027, helping stabilize the grid and integrate more renewable energy. Through AkuoCoop by Lendosphere, individuals can crowdfund our renewable energy projects, allowing local communities to invest in the energy transition.
